00:14The statement reads, remaining faithful to its historical position and the popular mandate expressed in December 3, 2023, consulted the
00:26referendum to Venezuela Europeans that it does not recognize the jurisdiction of the court in the territorial dispute over Guyana
00:33-Esequiba, nor any decision it may adopt on this matter.
00:38Therefore, its attendance at these hearings does not imply any consent or recognition of such jurisdiction. Venezuela is attending these
00:46hearings only to present the truth to the world about its rise to the territory of Guyana-Esequiba from its
00:52inception.
00:53The communique includes, the only possible solution to the territorial dispute within the framework of international law is the Geneva
01:02Agreements.
01:03This international treaty is the normative framework that must be complied with, in good faith, with the aim of putting
01:11an end to the territorial dispute through a practical, acceptable and satisfactory arrangement for both parties.
