00:01This year's theme for GAMA is bookmark, meaning everyone. That idea is so important as we come
00:07together from all parts of the Northern Territory, Australia and indeed our region. Our promises as
00:14a government to reduce crime, rebuild the economy and restore our unique territory lifestyle are
00:19as important to us today as they were in 2024 when we first came to government. These commitments
00:25mean just as much to us in East Arnhem Land as they do in Darwin, Catherine or Alice Springs.
00:31On coming into government we recognised immediately the scale and significance of the transition facing
00:36the Gove Peninsula in the wake of Rio Tinto confirming that mining operations would cease
00:41before the end of this decade and I have great confidence in what comes next. When we look to
00:47this place we see a region and a people ready to write the next chapter of the Territory's economic story.
