00:00In all likelihood, we are going to see George Lombard Jr. up with the Yankees very soon.
00:06Could be as early as Friday.
00:08And I feel like the weight of the world and the pressure is going to be on Lombard to be
00:12the savior of this offense.
00:14An offense that has struggled without judge.
00:17An offense that has struggled with Stanton now out of the lineup and been out of the lineup for months.
00:22And Lombard is viewed as that savior.
00:25And anytime you get called up in a situation like we saw this with the Mets last year with Nolan
00:29McClain.
00:29And McClain was able to handle it.
00:31But it's a lot to put on the plate of a young player.
00:34A very talented player.
00:36But the pressure and just...
00:37And look, when a young prospect gets called up, the fans are very excited.
00:43They view this as a hope.
00:45They view this as a player that can help them.
00:47And the Yankee offense certainly needs a jolt.
00:50They need production, especially out of either the shortstop position where Lombard could play.
00:55Or the third base position which Lombard could play as well.
00:57But the Yankees need a jolt.
00:59And I feel like that pressure is going to be on the shoulders of Lombard.
01:03We're going to find out if he can handle it.
01:04Now, I don't think that's indicative of whether or not he's going to be great or bad if he can't
01:08handle the pressure.
01:08Because it is a lot for a young player.
01:10And it's probably a little unfair that it's going to be placed on his shoulders.
01:14But it's definitely going to be.
01:15I think a lot of fans are going to view Lombard as the savior.
01:18As the guy that comes here right around the deadline with Judge out for at least a few more weeks.
01:23With Santon out for God knows how much longer.
01:26Lombard will have that pressure on his shoulders.
01:28And we're going to find out if he can handle it.
