It's no secret that applying liquid eyeliner takes skill. When done right, it can be a gamechanging way to define your eyes. When done wrong, it can put you on the express train to Raccoon Town (which is shockingly not as cute as it sounds). Ever on the quest to conquer the liquid look, we decided to take this new bent eyeliner from Sephora for a spin. It's designed to save us from ourselves and our shaky hands, with a shape that essentially functions as an extension of one's finger. It sure looks cool, but will it work? Watch the video to find out.

00:07Hi, I'm Gabrielle with Refinery29 and today on Beauty Test Lab I'm trying out Sephora's
00:12new Smart Liner, which is this thing. And it's a liquid eyeliner that is shaped so that when
00:17you apply it, it goes on easily and painlessly and successfully, which if you've ever tried
00:22to put on black liquid eyeliner, you'll know it's kind of hard to do. So I'm going to try
00:26it out and see what happens. So the correct way to hold it is by putting your index finger
00:30on top and then wrapping your three fingers around the handle. So it should be like an
00:36extension of your index finger, kind of like your Edward eyeliner hands.
00:45That was really easy to do. It made a nice clean line and I think I'm even going to wing
00:50it out a little bit. I love this eyeliner. I think that the shape is a really great idea.
00:55I also think that the tip was really nice because it just kind of went with the shape
01:01of my eye so I could just do a few quick swipes and I was done. Definitely recommend.
