00:07on Thursday night after discovering about 2,000 methane gas cylinders inside the premises.

00:20said several explosions occurred in the early stages of the operation,
00:24but firefighters managed to keep the situation under control.
00:28The fire, believed to have broken out at about 10.50pm, spread quickly due to strong winds.
00:35A total of 68 firefighters from 15 stations in Selangok Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya were deployed
00:42with assistance from 11 volunteer fire brigades and police personnel.
00:47The blaze was brought under control by 1.20am.
00:51Although the fire spread to several nearby premises,
00:54firefighters prevented it from reaching the main wholesale market building,
00:58which houses the fish, vegetable and meat sections, located just 50 metres away.
01:04No injuries were reported, although firefighters continued extinguishing operations
01:09at three storage areas behind the affected premises.
01:12The cause of the fire and the estimated losses are still under investigation.
