00:05But pitching continues to be a head scratcher, starting pitching here.

00:11I mean, what options do the Braves have to help this starting rotation heading into the trade deadline?
00:19Well, the biggest name they thought they were going to be able to obtain is probably likely no longer available.
00:24And that's not Tarek Skubel.
00:26It was Sonny Gray because the Red Sox are supposed to be sellers.
00:30And Sonny Gray was going to be available as the best pitcher on that staff.
00:33And guess what?
00:34The Red Sox, including the first game of today's doubleheader, have won 14 in a row, 15 in a row
00:38rather.
00:39So I don't think he's going anywhere because I don't think the Red Sox are selling anything at this point
00:43in time.
00:44The Braves probably need some starting pitching help because I just don't know if A.J. Smith-Schauver
00:48and Spencer Schwellenbach and Spencer Strider are going to be guys who you can count on at this point in
00:54time.
00:54It just doesn't look like those guys are going to be healthy enough to be anything.
00:57The other biggest problem here, Joe, is that, like, and this is particularly, you know,
01:01what's happened in this series against the Padres, the Braves are the worst offense in baseball in the month of
01:05June.
01:06They scored the fewest months, the fewest runs in the month of June.
01:09Coming into last night's game, they scored the most runs in the month of July,
01:13and their bats have quieted down this entire series here against the Padres.
01:17So I would think that they might be able to break – I mean, last night they faced Walker Buehler
01:21and got one hit off of them through five innings.
01:24Like, it's Walker Buehler.
01:25You guys get hit Walker Buehler.
01:27So, I mean, Walker Buehler did walk five guys, so there were plenty of people on base,
01:31but that's not the point.
01:33So, look, if their bats start to wake up a little bit here, they're going to be okay.
01:37They'll be able to overcome the pitching.
01:39But I still think Alex Anthopoulos is priming to make a big move here at the deadline.
01:42Just not sure which direction he's going.
