00:27outbreak continues to spread across the country.
00:33The United States launches new wave of attacks targeting Iranian marine tower control in the
00:38coastal city of Shabahar.
00:45Hello and welcome to Front the South.
00:47I am Lorena Fon from the Telesur Studios in Caracas, Venezuela.
00:50We begin with the news.
00:51Stay with us.
01:11Venezuelan acting president Elsie Rodriguez visited the Brisas de Maiketida Temporary Camp
01:15where humanitarian aid from Turkey is being distributed to earthquake-affected families.
01:20During the visit accompanied by the extraordinary ambassador of Turkey to Venezuelan Nazi Aydan
01:24Caramanoglu, the Venezuelan authorities highlighted the joint efforts between both nations to
01:29provide comprehensive assistance throughout the Venezuela Rises Plan.
01:33The support includes medical supply stamps, essential goods, health care services, and
01:38assistance for families who have lost their homes or relatives.
01:41The Camp Garelli shelters 659 affected families receiving support focused on improving living
01:47conditions, providing food and medical care, and helping residents safely return to their
01:52homes as recovery efforts continue.
02:00Here we are witnessing a helping hand and a constructive effort.
02:03We are at the Brisas de Maiketida urbanization camp together with community representatives,
02:08the governor, and the mayor, evaluating how to restore the homes that have already been
02:13declared safe and habitable so families can return.
02:15Alongside the Ministry of Public Works and the Venezuela Renace Plan, efforts are underway to
02:20repair and rehabilitate these homes, allowing affected families to safely go back to their
02:25residence.
02:25We also extend our gratitude for the humanitarian aid provided by Turquie, as the supplies that
02:30arrived in the shipment are being distributed among the temporary camps to support those affected.
02:34The charge is for the distribution of the camps.
02:39The Venezuelan acting president, Elce Rodriguez, received 88 containers of humanitarian aid donated
02:44by CARICOM member states to support communities affected by the June 24 earthquakes.
02:49The shipment includes large quantities of food, bottled water, diapers, mattresses, clothing, and
02:54medical supplies as well as heavy machinery, power generators, and water pumps to assist with
02:59recovery efforts.
03:00In addition, a medical brigade of 32 doctors and surgeons arrived to help provide healthcare
03:05services to those affected.
03:07Acting president Rodriguez thanked the governments of the Caribbean nations for their solidarity and support,
03:12highlighting the strong bonds of friendship, cooperation, and regional unity between Venezuela and
03:17CARICOM during this time of emergency.
03:25Today has been a day dedicated to inspecting the international humanitarian aid received by Venezuela.
03:31We have come to thank President Putin, his government, and the Russian people for the assistance that
03:36has arrived in our country.
03:37I feel deeply moved because I am here alongside CARICOM nations, our Caribbean brothers and
03:42sisters, who through great efforts coordinated by Guyana, have all sent aid to Venezuela.
03:49Work continues in the areas affected by the double earthquake that struck Venezuela on June 24.
03:55In Caravalleda, a wide-state work continues to clear debris from buildings that collapsed due to
04:00the double earthquake that affected various parts of the country.
04:03It is worth noting that a total of 689 pieces of heavy equipment and specialized vehicles have
04:08been deployed in a wide-state to accelerate the clearance of debris and collapsed infrastructure.
04:14In turn, the Minister of Public Works Juan José Ramírez reported that more than 109,000 cubic
04:20meters of material have been removed and that teams continue to work 24 hours a day to carry out the
04:27necessary operations to remove all the debris.
04:35The National Assembly of Venezuela expressed solidarity with the people affected by the
04:40twin earthquakes that hit the country on June 24.
04:42Our correspondent, Michelle Ramírez, in Caracas has the details.
04:46The Venezuelan Parliament approved a resolution expressing solidarity with the victims of the
04:51twin earthquakes in a first reading.
04:53The resolution conveys the Parliament's support and condolences to the families of those who
04:57lost their lives and to all citizens affected by the earthquakes.
05:05These are times to extend a helping hand.
05:13We must give everything we have as human beings.
05:22We must show all of our humanity.
05:28We must care for our brothers and sisters who have lost their belongings and experienced
05:33the heartbreak of seeing their homes collapse.
05:41Lawmakers recognized the immediate volunteer response of citizens, universities, companies
05:45and non-governmental organizations which set up collection centers and helped save lives
05:50in the hours after the disaster struck.
05:54Venezuelans gave everything in response to a profound sense of solidarity.
06:00Thousands of volunteers, religious organizations, professional associations, universities, private
06:05companies and non-governmental organizations immediately stepped forward to support the country.
06:13Their efforts were essential in helping save lives during the first hours of the emergency.
06:19The resolution endorses the Venezuelan government's emergency response and contingency plans and
06:25urges international organizations to release the country's frozen assets and financial resources
06:30held abroad.
06:36The resolution emphasizes what I believe is a key issue – sanctions.
06:43What more must happen in Venezuela before these illegal sanctions suffocating the country
06:47are lifted?
06:52For God's sake, what more needs to happen?
06:57These unilateral coercive measures are illegal and immoral, especially in the current circumstances.
07:07During the session, lawmakers also approved a partial reform of the law against real estate
07:12fraud, which aims to promote the construction of new housing adapted to current needs.
07:19Our main objective is to promote the construction of new housing that meets today's needs.
07:29The state has significant capacity through the Great Housing Mission Venezuela.
07:34But during this time of essential unity and solidarity, we need everyone's participation.
07:42This reform aims to provide better conditions, greater legal certainty and improved financing
07:49so that the private sector can begin an ambitious and accelerated process of constructing homes.
07:59The rental law was also on the agenda during the regular session.
08:03The Special Housing Rental Regime Law was approved to strengthen access to housing through the
08:07rental market and the construction of new residences.
08:10With Jesus Romero on camera, Michelle Ramirez from Caracas, Venezuela, for Telesur.
08:20In the United States, a group of 14 Democratic members of Congress called on President Donald Trump to lift economic
08:26sanctions against Venezuela
08:28and allow access to assets frozen abroad following the destructive earthquakes that struck on June 24.
08:34In a letter also addressed to Senate Secretary Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Besant,
08:39the lawmakers stated that these restrictions could hind the relief efforts as well as the recovery and reconstruction of the
08:46affected areas.
08:47The petition follows a recent statement by more than 100 economists who also foreeasing the sanctions
08:54and facilitating Venezuela's access to international resources to address the emergency.
09:08And now we have a short break coming up, but first remember you can join us on TikTok at Telesur

10:09Meanwhile, food and non-alcoholic beverages registered a monthly increase of 1.3%.
10:14According to projections compiled by the Argentinian Central Bank, inflation will close due to the year at around 30%, while
10:22price tends to continue to be closely monitored by authorities and economic analysts.
10:34The U.S. President Miguel Diaz-Canel toured major international projects in the municipality of Havana on Tuesday, where he
10:40highlighted the strategic role of innovation, electrical, mobility, and business transformation for the country's economic development.
10:47During his visit, he learned about the progress of Cuba's first public charging station for electric vehicles, a solar-powered
10:54initiative that will contribute to the modernization, transportation, and the transition of the national energy mix.
11:01He also visited the Guanaju industrial-based business unit, where a project is underway to assemble containers designed to strengthen
11:08solid waste management in Havana.

11:18economic transformation thinking advantage of tools to increase production efficiency and contribute greater benefits to the country's development.
11:34Moving on to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the authorities have reported more than 2,000 confirmed Ebola cases
11:40as the outbreak continues to spread across the country.
11:43Health authorities say the total has reached 2,111 cases, including 754 deaths.
11:52The outbreak has affected five provinces, with the duty remaining in the Havana region and the main center of transmission.

12:06Health authorities also reported new cases in Havana province, raising concerns that the virus is expanding into additional areas.
12:14The outbreak remains in a phase of sustained transmission, with cases continuing to rise since it was declared in May.

12:29strain of the Ebola virus.
12:47The Russia's Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday a new military operation against port facilities in the Ukrainian city of
12:54Odessa and General Smorsk, which Moscow has identified as facilities used for logistical supply to the Ukrainian armed forces.
13:00According to Russian authorities, the attacks targeted fuel depots, board infrastructure, drone manufacturing facilities and various ships carrying cargo intended
13:11for Kyiv's military efforts.
13:13In this regard, Russian authorities asserted that these actions are part of their strategy to undermine Ukraine's operational capabilities,
13:20amid a conflict that continues to result in clashes and human casualties on both sides of the front line.
13:50The United States President Donald Trump is threatening to expand U.S. military strikes on Iran if they are understated.
13:57In an interview with Fox News, Trump said that next week, U.S. forces could target Iran's power plants and
14:03bridges unless Iranian leaders get to the table and negotiate.
14:06Trump made similar comments in March, where he threatened to obliterate Iran's power stations and fresh water plants if Iran
14:13did not agree to peace terms.
14:19Shortly, in this context, Trump's latest comments as U.S. forces have carried out strikes against Iran for fourth consecutive
14:27day and have reimposed a naval blockade on Iranian ports along the Strait of Formos for the race intentions in
14:36one of the world's most strategically important waterways.
14:48Meanwhile, in response to the U.S. attacks, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary World Corps says it has target, command, and control
14:53logistics, fuel, and military equipment facilities used by the U.S. 5th Fleet in Bahrain.
14:58In this context, Bahrain and Kuwait reported coming under attacks while Jordan's military said its air defenses intercepted three ballistic
15:06missiles that entered its airspace.
15:10Iran's state new agency also reported a drone strike targeting military base in Jordan that hosts United States warplanes.
15:18In the sense, Iranian authorities have reminded the nations of the Gulf that their territories should not be used as
15:24bases for occupiers of or international criminals.
15:37In the United States, Central Command says it has carried out strikes in Iran for 90 minutes on Wednesday morning
15:43as tensions flare over the critical Strait of Formos.
15:46The United States struck a marine control tower in Iran's coastal city of Shahabahar as the military launched a new
15:52round of daytime attacks marking the second time in less than a week that the port's control infrastructure has been
15:59targeted by U.S. forces.
16:01Local reports confirmed heavy damage with the upper structure of the control tower collapsed, windows blown out, and adjacent port
16:09facilities scorched.
16:10The strikes occurred amid a rapid escalation of direct military hostilities between the United States and Iran following consecutive nights
16:18of exchange fire.
16:29The Iranian government reported that more than 30 civilians were killed and nearly 260 people were injured during the attacks
16:36carried out by the United States in recent days against various regions of the country.

16:58understanding just a few weeks ago.
17:19We now go with our special segment on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup 2026 beyond the game.
17:25The World State Spear.
17:26Go ahead, Luis.
17:27It's a pleasure to share the set with you today.
17:29Welcome.
17:30Good morning, Lore.
17:31Good morning to our audience.
17:32Today, we have our second semifinal, a match that promises to be quite something to enjoy and watch.
17:38It's going to happen later in the afternoon, 3 p.m., Caracas time, England versus Argentina.
17:43This follows the first semifinal yesterday between France and Spain in which the Spaniards achieved a commanding victory, securing their
17:49place in the finals after the 2010.
17:51Since 2010, they have not reached this stage of the World Cup.
17:54We'll have more information after the break.
18:18Welcome to Beyond the Game.
18:19The ball stays pure.
18:20After the road to the 2016 FIFA World Cup final is almost complete.
18:24Spain became the first finalist after a convincing victory of France and now awaits the winner of Wednesday semifinal between
18:30England and Argentina.
18:33The three Lions are chasing their first World Cup final since 1966, while Argentina looks to keep its title defence
18:38alive.
18:38The winner will face Spain on Sunday with the loser meeting France in the third-place playoff.
18:44England has relied so far on the leadership and goals of Harry Kane and the outstanding form of Jude Bellingham,
18:49who have been responsible for the majority of the three Lions scoring during the tournament.
18:53Argentina, meanwhile, continues to be inspired by Lionel Messi, while Enzo Fernandes and Cody Romero have provided crucial support.
19:07England's and Argentina's journey to the last four has been built on resilience, overcoming one tough test after another to
19:13keep their World Cup dream alive.
19:17England's campaign began without authority as the three Lions stopped Group L through a blend of attacking flair and timely
19:22resilience.
19:23Victories over Panama and Croatia were followed by a dramatic encounter with Ghana, allowing Thomas Tockel's side to finish first
19:30in the group.
19:31Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane and a balanced midfield have given England multiple ways to win, carrying strong momentum into the
19:37elimination rounds.
19:40Unlike some of the other semi-finalists, England has had to earn every step of the journey.
19:45There's a vibe that determined DR Congo in the Round 32 before producing an impressive comeback to eliminate Mexico 3
19:51-2 in the Round 16.
19:53The quarter-final against Norway was another stern termination, but England once again found the decisive moments in a 2
20:00-1 victory,
20:01returning to the World Cup semi-finals with confidence growing after every challenge overcome.
20:06The defending champions Argentina navigated Group J with experience and attacking quality, finishing atop the standings after victories over Jordan
20:14and Austria before sealing first place against Algeria.
20:18Lionel Messi once again set the tone, while Lionel Scaloni's squad showed the composure and efficiency expected from the reigning
20:25world champions as they advanced to the knockout stage on Beden.
20:29Argentina's route to the last four has been anything but straightforward.
20:33A thrilling 3-2-1 victory over Cape Verde in the Round 32 was followed by another dramatic 3-2
20:39win against Egypt in the Round 16.
20:41The quarter-final brought perhaps their toughest challenge yet, but the Albi Celeste defeated Switzerland 3-1 to secure a
20:48return to the semi-finals.
20:49Tested repeatedly under pressure, Argentina has relied on championship experience and the enduring brilliance of Messi to keep its title
20:57defense alive.
21:00Argentina supporters filled the streets of Atlanta during the flag-waving event ahead of the World Cup semi-final match
21:06against England.
21:07Some 10,000 Scaloneta fans sang and went wild for Argentina's sky blue and white colors ahead of the heavily
21:15-awaited fixture many have described as a final before the final.
21:17Unlike the one held the day before, the nail-biting round of 16 match against Egypt, Tuesday's gathering did not
21:25take place in Piedmont Park, but rather at Underground, as Chopin, an entertainment district located just a few blocks from
21:31the stadium where the match will be played this Wednesday at 3 p.m. Caracas time.
21:35During the celebration, there was a minute of silence for France and the traditional chant, anyone who doesn't jump is
21:40English.
21:41The upcoming match renews one of international football's most storied rivalries, with the winner moving one step closer to World
21:48Cup immortality.
21:54It's not just a match, it's a final.
21:56Yes, it's the final for us.
21:58It's Argentina versus England.
22:00It's the final, the big match.
22:02The Malvinas are Argentinian.
22:03We've got faith.
22:04We've got faith.
22:05I can't predict the result, but we're confident we'll win.
22:10I think it's going to be a really exciting, really beautiful match.
22:13They're two great teams.
22:15And, well, the hope is that Argentina always plays with an advantage, which is the number 10.
22:19So that could be the deciding factor.
22:24We've chosen to believe, just as the players told us, just as the coach told us.
22:28So, one step at a time, let's focus on tomorrow's match.
22:31Hopefully we'll win.
22:32And then we'll face Spain.
22:36And Tuesday's semifinals saw a complete performance from Spain shutting down the French attack,
22:41which had been, up until that moment, among the best.
22:43Ending LeBlues title hopes with a complete team performance.
22:46The Iberians defeated France 2-0 in a composed and commanding semi-final match.
22:50After an evenly contested opening, Lamine Jamal drew the foul that led to a penalty in the 20th minute,
22:55and Mikelo Yarzaval calmly converted from the spot two minutes later to give La Roja the lead.
23:00Spain took control from there, dominating possession and frustrating a French side that struggled to create clear chances.
23:06Pedro Porro sealed the victory in the 58th minute, with a clinical finish following a slip combination with Dani Olmo.
23:12France never found a way back, as Spain's disciplined defence and patient build-up secured the serve place in the
23:18final.
23:28The superior player of the match went to Pedro Porro, who delivered the performance of his international career.
23:34The right back was outstanding at both ends of the pitch, shutting down France's attack before putting the game beyond
23:39doubt
23:39with a composed finish after a brilliant 1-2 with Dani Olmo early in the second half.
23:43Porro's relentless work rate, defensive solidity and decisive goal-capped a complete performance on football's biggest stage.
23:56And Spanish fans celebrated outside Dallas Stadium after La Roja won against France.
24:03It's been brilliant. I didn't expect to be here.
24:06I think Spain not only lived up to expectations, but actually exceeded everyone's expectations.
24:12And I reckon Argentina will be next. Let's go to the final.
24:18Well, I think the best team really did win this time.
24:21And I reckon Spain's defence only conceded one goal in the whole World Cup.
24:26So, I don't know. I think it was an exciting match right, right to the end.
24:33Meanwhile, French fans expressed their disappointment at Le Blu's performance.
24:39After that, the consolation prize, if I may say so, would be to play in the third-place playoff against
24:45Argentina and thrash them.
24:47That might console us a little.
24:50Disappointed, disappointed. But, well, that's the way it is. You can't win every day.
24:56I'm particularly disappointed because I feel that, right from the start of the match, we were just a bit below
25:01par in every aspect of the game.
25:04There aren't really any regrets about the match. Unfortunately, we deserve to lose.
25:11This is all for this edition of Beyond the Game. The ball is pure. In yesterday's semi-final, there were
25:16only one team on the pitch playing good football.
25:19Let's hope that today we have two teams and it's a great spectacle for the world to watch and experience.
25:24We now go back to you, Lore.
25:26Thank you so much, Lacey, for always keeping us posted on all the updates related to the world of football.
