00:10The Zoézique Silva school camp in San Martin, located in the north central part of Caracas,
00:15is housing more than 400 people affected by the twin earthquakes.
00:21The residents here are from the Corazon de Mi Patria housing complex, also known as Pepe
00:2567.
00:27There are 109 families here and 443 people.
00:32We have children between the ages of 0 and 2, 6 boys and 6 girls.
00:37There are also children between the ages of 5 and 12 with 34 boys and 36 girls.
00:42We have renovated the facilities and repainted the sports court, as you have seen.
00:47Base painting activities, inflatable games, and trampolines for the children to enjoy.
00:55The camp provides shelter for families who survived the earthquakes and were displaced temporarily
01:00after their homes became uninhabitable due to structural collapses.
01:05At the time, I was in my apartment when the first and second earthquakes hit.
01:10We were affected.
01:12First, we were taken to a camp in Apostle.
01:14Then, we were transferred to the Zoézique Silva school, where we have received care.
01:20They have provided us with health care, food, and recreational activities for the children.
01:26We are grateful to all the institutions that have come to help us.
01:33Volunteers bring joy and hope to children and young people through recreational activities.
01:39Thanks to the care and support of community representatives, the camp has become a place
01:44of solidarity among Venezuelans.
01:49As community representatives, we have always been there for our community through different
01:54moments and situations.
01:55This is a more difficult time, but we must step up and help.
02:00There are families who truly cannot do it on their own and who count on us.
02:05Everyone is being cared for—adults, children, people with disabilities, and the sick.
02:13As you can see, many state institutions are here right now, offering support and assistance.
02:19At no point have they left us alone.
02:25The Jandare temporary camps are a result of the collaboration between the Venezuelan government
02:29and community organizations working together toward the shared goal of ensuring the well-being
02:33of the thousands affected by the natural disaster.
