00:00They're waiting at Ishigaki, Japan for Typhoon Bobby, which has weakened a bit.
00:05It has 75 knot maximum sustained winds.
00:08Pressure is up to 964, but we still have big swells out there hammering the coral reefs.
00:14And you can see big waves coming in, even evidence of storm surge here in this bay on the northeastern
00:20side of the island.
00:21Winds are gradually increasing.
00:23They have been tropical storm force sustained at times, especially where it can funnel through the terrain.
00:28But we are expecting flooding to be a big concern here.
00:31There are some 3, 4, 5, 6,000 foot mountains on this island.
00:35And those are going to have flash floods coming down.
00:37And you can feel these northeast of this ramp up just ahead of the hurricane.
00:42A lot of wave action coming in here.
00:44Once these breakers make it over the reef, they will then penetrate the coastline here.
00:49And likely meet up with flash floods that are coming down to the higher terrain.
00:53People are doing preparation here.
00:55They're all such an active pain.
00:59It's going to make landfall tonight into tomorrow morning.
01:03And we are in supercell water spot mode today in the outer bands of this typhoon with all the dry
01:07air coming in to the mid-levels of the atmosphere.
01:10Here we are.
01:11All right.
