00:00Steph, the Knicks bringing Jordan Clarkson back deal for one year, $3.9 million.
00:07You expected this to happen. What do you make of this, of Jordan Clarkson being back in the fold
00:11with the Knicks? I think it's a great signing for another vet minimum, so it only counts
00:17something like $2.5 million toward the second apron, even though it's a $3.9 million contract.
00:24Jordan Clarkson really showed up last season in a different way than I think anybody in
00:29envisioned. Everybody thought he was going to come in and be this gunner, microwave scorer
00:34off the bench, and what was necessitated and what was needed from him was more of a defensive
00:39player, a guy who can come in and play kind of like a reserve role that's not going to
00:44have the ball as much in his hands, and he adapted. I think midseason he was out of the
00:49rotation, and he realized if I'm going to get on the court, I need to do some things that
00:54I haven't been doing throughout my career, and he showed up and he did it, and he was
00:59part of the NBA Finals rotation as well. He's seen a lot. He's played with LeBron James.
01:05He had played in the Finals previously, and more so than the leadership, as somebody like
01:12myself who's been in the locker room pretty much all season, everybody likes this guy.
01:17He might be the most popular guy in the locker room, one through 15. It's impossible not to
01:25like Jordan Clarkson. He's a real chill dude, down-to-earth dude, got along with everybody,
01:31accepted his role. He's the kind of guy you want in your locker room.
