00:00This is Jocky. She's a terrified dog we rescued over a week ago.
00:04We've been working on building her confidence and today something changed.
00:09But to explain how we got here we need to start...
00:12Pick it up poo.
00:13So if you didn't know one of our other rescues Becca had to be sedated yesterday to get a biopsy
00:18done on her paw.
00:19And this is everything that happened last night with her.
00:22So to help manage Becca's recovery for now we've like sectioned this off from the rest of the dogs.
00:28And she can basically take herself off to go and sleep because obviously she had anesthesia and she looks absolutely
00:36exhausted.
00:37Oh that little tail wag.
00:38And once these dogs have calmed down so like maybe in the evening then we can like introduce them again.
00:44But right now we just want to make sure that Becca has got her own little space.
00:48You know she's a bit confused.
00:51Bless Becca she's absolutely exhausted.
00:54She's having a good sleep with her friend Jocky.
00:57So unfortunately for Becca she has started chewing.
01:02She has started chewing on that leg of hers.
01:05So she's gonna have to wear the Cone of Shame.
01:09Get out!
01:11Oh!
01:14Damn these poor street dogs know how to get out of something don't they?
01:24Oh this isn't good because you know how kind that fits her and she's already started chewing that bandage.
01:30And if she gets through it overnight and chews it.
01:35And she'll get in her stitches.
01:36And that is not gonna be cheap.
01:38And most importantly she can do herself some damage.
01:42So we have managed to tie like a sock around it.
01:46My guess is she's just gonna get into that overnight.
01:49And it's really frustrating because it's like what can we do?
01:53Like we can already see that she's just gonna get into those overnight and probably get into her stitch.
02:00And we're gonna have to take her back to the vets.
02:01And we can see Becca is already starting to pull the sock off.
02:05It is quarter past eight.
02:07We are exhausted from filming all day.
02:09And now we're just stressed.
02:11Because we just know that this one's gonna pull the sock off.
02:15So we have put Becca in her own crate.
02:18So Jocky's in there.
02:19Mum and daughter in there.
02:20Because our guess is once she pulls that bandage off.
02:24You know there's then gonna be an open wound.
02:26And if any dog goes near it she'll probably have a go at them.
02:29So we thought best to separate.
02:32Let's see if she's taking the bandage off tomorrow morning.
02:35Becca, please, Becca, I think she's trying to take it off right now.
02:39Becca, please, please, please do not take it off.
02:43They're exhausted.
02:44We don't need more problems tomorrow.
02:46Becca did sleep during the night.
02:48You can't really tell if she pulled off her bandage.
02:50So let's go downstairs and see what the damage is.
02:54Please Becca, please Becca.
02:57Oh my god, it's still on.
03:00It's still on, good girl.
03:02I don't know if you can see.
03:03There it is, good girl.
03:06Okay, hang on.
03:07So we had to let Becca out last.
03:09Becca, so that we could put this boot on her.
03:12And sadly, we're gonna have to put a lead on her.
03:15She can't go out into the garden sprinting out.
03:18Four obvious reasons.
03:19We put the boot on her.
03:20It's like a clear boot.
03:22Because she can't get it wet.
03:24Which is a lot easier said than done in the UK.
03:27You can see she's already got a lot more energy, which isn't great.
03:31Jocky's got no clue what that lead is.
03:34So today, Dilnaz is going to be working on touch with Jocky.
03:39This is going to be the closest we've ever gotten to her.
03:42So we don't want to have that open hand because we don't know what experience she's had.
03:46So if we use a fist with it open, she might think there's something in there.
03:49Yeah.
03:49So.
03:50Yes.
03:51That is amazing.
03:54Yes.
03:54And we present our hands super slowly for her.
03:57Yeah.
03:57Okay, because we don't want to scare her.
03:59Yes.
04:01And now I'm going to see if she'll do the stretch.
04:03Yes.
04:05Also, I love that she's come closer.
04:07She did.
04:07She chose that.
04:09Absolutely.
04:10And that's why it's so important to let them make their own decisions.
04:14Yeah.
04:15Yes.
04:15Wow.
04:16That was a proper nose touch.
04:17Oh, good girl.
04:18Here, baby.
04:19Here, girl.
04:20Oh, look, she's.
04:20Yes.
04:21Yes.
04:27Oh, bless you.
04:29So we're going to show you the insane progress that Jocky has made and how she's really starting
04:34to come out of her shell.
04:35But first, we've got a little surprise for you.
04:37We got a message from a viewer that actually has the brother of Lola and Ivy.
04:43And today, after months apart, they're going to be meeting up for the first time.
04:48Ivy doesn't know what's going on.
04:50Lola doesn't know what's going on.
04:51Lola doesn't know what's going on.
04:53But we spoke to Dilnaz about this and she said that they should recognize each other's smells.
04:58Who's that?
05:01They've got distracted.
05:02Hello.
05:03Hi.
05:05Who's that?
05:06This will be so interesting.
05:12Oh, I could look back.
05:14There, Lola.
05:15I think Lola remembers.
05:17Ivy's a bit unsure.
05:18She's like, are you who I think you are?
05:19Yeah, Lola's happy.
05:21Yeah.
05:23Ivy, who's that?
05:25Oh, look, play battle.
05:27He's got so much more pointy ears, doesn't he, than Lola and Ivy.
05:31He is.
05:31Oh, look at Bolt.
05:33Oh, no.
05:35That's your mom.
05:38What do you guys think?
05:39Do you reckon that they remembered each other?
05:41Well, now let's go back to the house because I've got some thoughts about how everything is going so far.
05:47Becca is chewing on her toy.
05:49Honestly, we are not ready for another four rescues.
05:53I think if she didn't have her surgery, this would be made a lot, lot easier.
05:58But this is the situation.
06:00It is what it is.
06:01Obviously, trying to get her not to play and jump up on couches and stuff like that is like almost
06:06impossible given the situation.
06:08And having to keep her surgical wrap not getting wet is not easy as well.
06:12But what is good is that hopefully she's going to be starting feeling better once we've got her biopsy back
06:18and we can figure out everything that is going on.
06:21And hopefully everything goes OK on Monday with all the other rescues.
06:27Like it is just going to be insane, guys.
06:29So now we're going to go to Happy Shelter to show you a dog that we actually wanted to foster,
06:34but we weren't allowed because she looks like a banned breed in the UK.
06:39So this dog here, amongst all the other dogs, is called Tigra.
06:43Now Tigra is actually quite a sad story.
06:45I've got it here.
06:47So one day, Happy Shelter saw a post of a sad mother and her puppies whose ears were getting cut
06:53by the children
06:54because they thought it was fun to cut the ears of the dog.
06:57You can see it's kind of hard to tell, but you can see here that her ears have definitely been
07:02cut out.
07:02Oh, you're such a good girl.
07:05And so because of that, obviously, you know, she was absolutely terrified, started to knock to us people,
07:10but Happy Shelter have done amazing work with her.
07:13And look at her.
07:15She's so cute.
07:17She wants to give you kisses.
07:18What's really sad, though, is that because of how she looks, she can't actually get adopted into the UK,
07:23which is just crazy because, I mean, look at what she's like, honestly.
07:27Stuff like that just drives me insane, but she's just the friendliest, hello, most loving dog.
07:34She looks like she may have, like, some staffy in her or something.
07:37I love the fact that she's called Tigra because she does literally look like Tigra, like her markings are so
07:41cool.
07:42And so donations help dogs just like Tigra, who sadly was getting abused by children.
07:48I'm getting licked.
07:50I'm getting licked behind.
07:52That one chewed my hair.
07:53Sadly, she was getting abused by children, but now look at her.
07:56Super happy.
07:57Lovely and trusting again.
07:59Hello.
08:00Deserved another chance, which she's clearly gotten.
08:03Oh, I'm getting licked.
08:04Oh, thank you.
08:06I don't even know which dog this is.
08:07It's a dog sandwich.
08:08Would you like to give us some pets?
08:10Yes.
08:10Oh, good girl.
08:14Collar time.
08:15Happy, girl.
08:18It's supposed to be a good girl.
08:19Good girl.
08:21Oh, my gosh.
08:22So we tried to just go with a nice pink collar that just makes her look
08:25super friendly and good.
08:27Yeah, a little bit less scary.
08:28Good girl.
08:29I mean, she doesn't look scary to us, but she may as well have beeped.
08:32Oh.
08:32She looks adorable.
08:35Look at her face.
08:37Are you pretty?
08:38I do.
08:39Are you a pretty girl?
08:41It's a little bit bigger.
08:42I could actually do it in one smaller.
08:44Oh, that's a bit better, isn't it?
08:48I cannot believe that she's not allowed to travel to the UK.
08:51So now it's time to show you the amazing progress that Jockey has made with us.
08:56Jockey looks so much more comfortable with the dogs, even trying to play with them.
09:04Oh, my God, look at her.
09:06And then Kobe tries to get Jiggy with her.
09:08Kobe, Kobe, Kobe, no, Kobe.
09:12Kobe.
09:15This is the first time that she's properly played with all the dogs.
09:20Kobe keeps trying to mount her.
09:23Oh, and it's giving her the zoomies.
09:31She's even now coming up to Ella for pets, which is just insane.
09:36What a transformation.
09:48Oh, good girlie.
09:51So, as you know, we're rescuing another four dogs on Monday.
09:55But because we already have six dogs here, we want to make sure this meeting goes as smoothly as possible.
10:01So we're jumping on a call with friend of the channel and amazing trainer, Tom Davis.
10:06Tom, hi, brother.
10:08Good to speak to you.
10:09I just wanted to get some advice on the first time our new pack of rescues are going to be
10:14meeting our current pack of rescues.
10:17So I thought a good idea was to just show you all the dogs that we have now,
10:22give you a bit of an idea of what we plan to do.
10:25And if you're able to give any advice, that would be greatly appreciated.
10:28Yeah, sounds good, JJ.
10:29Appreciate you reaching out.
10:30Let's see what you got going on, brother.
10:31So we have got gates or like a fence at the back of the garden.
10:36And so our idea was to put all of the six dogs that we have now on this side of
10:41the garden,
10:42put the fence in the middle, and then the four rescues would be on the other side of the fence,
10:47and they can kind of meet between there.
10:49Yeah, so what you guys are already doing is great.
10:52Like, I think just, you know, watching your videos and watching how you guys work with the dogs,
10:56just keeping safety the number one priority.
10:59And that's, you know, from a dog training standpoint who specializes in behavior,
11:02that's always my main priority is keeping the dog safe, keeping the people safe, keeping the pack energy good.
11:08And so the separation of the X-pen and the fencing in between is excellent.
11:13Anybody at home, when they're bringing in a new dog or they're fostering a dog or they have a dog
11:19that they're getting,
11:20that X-pen really just kind of buries, has a nice barrier in its safety, right?
11:25So the dogs can kind of meet at their own terms.
11:28And I think that that's wonderful what you're doing because, JJ, most people bring in one dog with one dog.
11:34You guys are bringing in four new dogs with six dogs.
11:38So it's the best thing to do is to keep that safety.
11:41And then the four dogs that are coming in can go at their own pace.
11:45So your six dogs who are already acclimated, they're comfortable, they know each other, they're chilling.
11:50They're going to naturally come up to the fence and say, hey, who are you guys?
11:54And then the newer dogs at their own pace are going to go up.
11:57And then you can address things like body language.
12:00You can address how the dogs are interacting and presenting information through body language.
12:06So some of the things that we're looking for from a behavioral standpoint is stiffening up, shutting the mouth.
12:12So dogs will breathe like and the moment they shut their mouth and get stiff.
12:16Those are things to kind of look out for.
12:19And dogs are animals.
12:20And we can only no matter how many how many dogs you've had, how many dogs you've trained and all
12:26the things that all the things that we do with dogs, we can never predict certainty.
12:30Right. All we can do is try to set this scenario in the environment up for success.
12:36Right. So just watching for that body language, you'll you'll be able to tell right away.
12:40I mean, these four dogs could come to the fence and play bow and put their butt up and get
12:45really excited.
12:46And then your dogs are like, all right, let's crack on and have a good time.
12:49OK, sounds good. Well, Tom, thank you so much.
12:52Really, really appreciate it.
12:54And I guess wish us luck for tomorrow.
12:57Good luck with everything you're doing, brother.
12:59You're doing amazing work for all the dogs.
13:01And I can't wait to see the rest of the series.
13:03Thank you very much. Appreciate it.
13:04You're welcome, bro.
13:05So we are going to be rescuing another four dogs next week on Monday.
13:10But if you want to get a little sneak peek of them,
13:13we are doing a live stream on Sunday at 1 p.m. Eastern time, which is 6 p.m. UK
13:18time.
13:19And if you're in another time zone, we've got a link in the description to remind you of the live
13:23stream
13:24and also see what time it is in your time zone.
13:26It's going to be really fun.
13:27Like we get to interact with each other.
13:29You get to see all the new rescues before the video comes out on Monday.
13:33So, yeah, feel free to join us on live this Sunday.
13:36Oh, yeah. And by the way, if you live in the UK and you are interested in adopting any of
13:41these rescues,
13:42then you can find a link to all of them in the description.
13:45So we checked the donations and we couldn't believe it.
13:48We've already hit 15,000 pounds, which means we're taking Lola to the pet store
13:53to help us pick out some treats and toys to all the dogs.
13:57Thanks to your guys' donations.
13:59So thank you to you guys.
14:01This is the first time Lola's been in a pet store.
14:04And I think you can tell she's going absolutely nuts.
14:09All right.
14:10So we spoke with Dylnaz and she said beef tendons is going to be really good for the dog.
14:14So let's just make sure it's Lola approved.
14:15I think it is.
14:17I think so.
14:17Okay.
14:18We've got a bunch of treats in here.
14:20I think Lola's feeling very overstimulated.
14:22So we're just going to go for a nice walk with her, let her explore the pet store.
14:26Come on.
14:27Oh, she's having a ride.
14:28Good explore.
14:30Becca likes fluffy things.
14:32So we're going to go with this unstuffed rabbit.
14:36That's a good idea.
14:37We'll go with a rope toy that they can play with.
14:39And we'll get some of these cuddly but tough.
14:42Our rescue dogs will decide if that is true or not.
14:46We're also going to get these little poor rubber boots for Becca.
14:50So it'll be easier for her to go outside.
14:52And Lola's going to be giving a treat.
14:53Let's see.
14:56Whoa.
14:57What's that?
15:00And Lola, what's this?
15:01I think she's too overstimulated.
15:03There you go, Lola.
15:05Lucky girl.
15:09She's being shy.
15:12She's being shy.
15:12I'm going to go home and show all the dogs what Lola has helped us get.
15:17Thanks to you guys.
15:18So we've just gotten home and figured out that this doesn't fit on Becca, which is great.
15:22And what we're going to do now is give the dogs some of their toys before they get their treats.
15:27All thanks to you guys.
15:28And Moki is already looking at the toys.
15:32What's this?
15:33Go on then.
15:34Becca, go.
15:38Go on then.
15:39Oh, went straight under the sofa.
15:41Oh, Becca's taking it straight outside.
15:44Oh, Becca.
15:44One's gone straight under.
15:46Ivy! Ivy!
15:48I'm really worried.
15:49Becca, come on.
15:49Come on.
15:50Because you shouldn't be running.
15:50Becca, come on.
15:51Let's get them inside.
15:52Becca, Becca.
15:54This is backfired horribly.
15:55Come on, good girl.
15:56Come on, Becca.
15:57No, no, no.
15:58Come on, dogs.
15:58Right, we're going to try this again.
16:00But this time, we're going to close the conservatory.
16:03Right, go on then.
16:04Go on then.
16:04There you go.
16:05Now you can all play.
16:07Look, there's another one there.
16:09Show them that one.
16:10Becca's loving this.
16:12The one dog that probably shouldn't be playing with all these toys is Becca.
16:16And she's now got both.
16:18Well, thank you so much to everybody that has donated.
16:22I cannot believe we're at £15,000.
16:25And you've made one injured dog very, very happy.
16:28And to be honest, the rest of them too.
16:29Because they've got this rope toy.
16:31Oh, who's that?
16:33What is he eating?
16:34Come on then.
16:35Go get in.
16:35So, the dogs are all enjoying their toys.
16:38Oh, there goes Becca.
16:39Becca loves the toys.
16:41We're now going to get them all ready and in their crates to give them the treats.
16:45Once again, thanks to you guys.
16:47Woo.
16:48Oh, other way.
16:50So, we've got some meat sticks for Jockey.
16:52Apparently they go like quite soft and mushy.
16:55So, because she hasn't got many teeth, hopefully she'll be able to easily eat that.
16:59We've got Kobe and Moki have got the buffalo skin.
17:03Kobe looks jealous of Jockey's meat stick.
17:06Hello, girl.
17:07Oh, she's being really brave.
17:08Becca has got this, I can't actually remember what it is, but she's enjoying that.
17:12These dogs have got this like goat spaghetti and they are literally going through them so quickly.
17:17So, massive thank you to you guys for hitting £15,000 and being able to do something like this
