Malaysia will introduce a regulatory framework for the low-altitude economy by the end of this year while pursuing bigger ambitions to become a regional aerospace powerhouse, says Anthony Loke.

The Transport Minister said he has instructed the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) to draw up the framework following the Low Altitude Economy Forum held two weeks ago.

01:11I've been here a couple of times, officiating different facilities, different projects.
01:18Recently, there was another facility which was just open, expansion.
01:23So there will be more interest and more investment coming here from MRO operators, especially from not only aerospace industry,
01:32but also from the business aviation factor.
01:36So this is a good sign for our aerospace industry. And we hope that we can do more, we can
01:43attract more investment.
01:44And it will create many other job opportunities, especially in aerospace engineering, in technical, in TVET.
01:53So a lot of opportunities for Malaysians in the aerospace industry.
