00:00Most goals scored.
00:01This is an interesting conversation because of the star power we have seen here.
00:06You've got Holland, you've got Messi, and you've got Mbappe, who have seven goals apiece.
00:12This is the first time in the tournament's history that three different players have scored at least seven goals in
00:20a World Cup.
00:21And all three have at least one more game to be played, including Messi, coming up here for tonight.
00:28And Mbappe will play against Norway.
00:31So we've got that matchup coming up here in a little bit.
00:35Your odds for the golden boot, the most goals.
00:39Mbappe's at plus 140, then we have Messi, and then we have everybody else.
00:43Kane's an interesting idea because obviously the further teams will go, the more opportunities they're going to have to make,
00:51to score, and to go and have the most goals.
00:55Norway's playing England.
00:57Sorry, I said France.
00:57Sorry, France plays Morocco.
00:59You have France in Morocco.
01:00You have Spain in Belgium.
01:01You have Norway in England.
01:03And then we'll find out the winners today with Argentina, Messi playing today, Switzerland, and Colombia in the other ones.
01:10So Argentina, if they win today like expected, I think that plus 250 on Messi is pretty good, to be
01:16quite honest.
01:17Although, I mean, France and Morocco are going to play a rematch.
01:20That's a huge matchup here with France and Morocco going up against each other.
01:24So could Morocco beat France?
01:27Absolutely.
01:28Messi's got the game today.
01:29I think they'll win.
01:30So really, you could say that Messi's got two games left guaranteed for him, and he's got seven goals.
01:35So I think there's some real value on Messi at plus 250, and you could go and present that to
01:41somebody who may not fully appreciate that and then say, okay, I think you go to Rabbit.
01:46If it's plus 250 at the sportsbooks for Messi, maybe there's somebody out there that will take the other side
01:51if you give him decent prices on Messi to have him not be the golden boot.
01:56Maybe you find some Bing Mbappe fan who wants to go ahead and bet the other side as to who's
02:00going to wind up winning the golden boot.
02:03Yeah, it really does come down to who goes farther.
02:05I think there's real value on Messi at two and a half to one because I think he wants it.
02:10We know that this could be it for Messi in terms of his career.
02:13We know that like Ronaldo's out, so maybe Messi would be out as well, depending on how far Argentina goes,
02:18but they should win today.
02:20I mean, it would be somewhat surprising if Argentina were to lose today to Egypt.
02:24So they've got one game there, and then they'll have another game in the round of eight.
02:28And that could be against Colombia, and Argentina most likely is going to be favored if Colombia is not the
02:34opponent and they're going to have a chance to go up against Switzerland.
02:37I think you'll see Argentina being big favorites, and then they get to the semifinals.
02:43So I agree with Ish.
02:44It does determine on how far which player is going to play the longest.
02:49I think there's real odds on Messi.
02:51I think that that would be an opportunity to jump in with Messi at two and a half to one.
02:55You can shop that price, maybe find a better one on it.
02:58But I like Messi at plus 250 or higher to go ahead and to get the golden boot here for
03:06the most goals scored at the World Cup.
03:08It's a fun market to get involved with if you're out with your futures, opportunity to do that.
03:14Yeah, I think you could talk about Norway's guy.
03:16He's a beast.
03:18He's six foot five.
03:18You know, that's a great point about star players, right?
03:23Because you've got a guy from Norway who's six foot five, 210 pounds.
03:27That guy, if he grew up in America, that guy is playing football or playing basketball.
03:32Like those are the two sports he would be playing.
03:34He wouldn't be playing soccer.
03:36Of a guy of that size, that athletic ability, he would be a tight end.
03:41He would be a wide receiver.
03:43Like he would not be playing soccer in America.
03:47Why?
03:47Because there's way more money to be made by going to play in college football and then go play in
03:52the NFL.
03:53That's what we do with our athletes.
03:56Once we see their talent, we see their size and gift.
03:59We don't put them on a soccer pitch.
04:02We just don't do that.
04:03So that's the problem with the sport here in America.
04:07It is not our go-to.
04:08For the rest of the world, 100%, that's their go-to.
04:12That's what they want to develop.
04:14They want to send one of their kids to the English Premier League or they want to send them to
04:18a Champions League team.
04:20They want to go and play at the highest of levels.
04:22That isn't what happens in America.
04:27Yeah, he's gronk on the pitch.
04:29Sure, he's huge.
04:31And so he just barrels over people.
04:34But in America, that guy plays tight end.
04:37That guy doesn't play soccer.
04:39So he can push people around in soccer for Norway and he can be a stud and score seven goals
04:45because he's the best athlete on the field, on the pitch.
04:49We don't have that same type of thought process in this country.
04:53So that is the biggest difference when it comes down to what happened last night against Belgium.
04:59Think about the athletes we produce.
05:01Think about the incredible speed, like Tyreek Hill.
05:04Could you imagine Tyreek Hill playing soccer?
05:06Like we're so amazed by Messi, right?
05:09Can you imagine that guy, if we developed him as a soccer player, what he would look like running around,
05:15you'd never catch him.
05:16Like he would just be gone.
05:18So like that's the difference when it comes to how we develop our talent, how we develop our players versus
05:26what the rest of the world does for the sport of soccer.
05:30It's just not the same.
