00:00I prefer to help you, but I am through being manipulated by you.
00:04I'm not trying to manipulate you.
00:05Then sit down and talk to me.
00:07Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the most notable times
00:12when this TV therapist completely abandoned his calm, measured composure, and flipped out on his guests.
00:18Do you see how this works?
00:23You've stopped parenting and you've started managing by intimidation.
00:28Number 30. Trisha gets told to leave.
00:31Internet drama has rarely looked as chaotic as this.
00:34This YouTuber and online personality named Trisha appeared on Dr. Phil to confront several people she described as her online
00:40haters.
00:41Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
00:42You know something? You've made so many fronts.
00:44I will tell you to kill myself.
00:47Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down.
00:50Come on, you're not diving on her hood. Just sit down.
00:53Chief among them was another woman named Wendy, who accused Trisha of doxing, stalking, and publicly humiliating people through her
01:01live streams.
01:01The discussion quickly spiraled.
01:04At one point, Trisha stormed off the stage in the wrong direction and had to be called back by Dr.
01:09Phil.
01:09Hold on, turn around.
01:10Trisha, come back. I'll get her.
01:11There's no way out that way.
01:14Hold on. Hold on.
01:15If you're going to make a dramatic walk-off, you need to go this way.
01:19The real breaking point came later when she began loudly cursing at Wendy during a heated exchange.
01:25Clearly fed up, Dr. Phil ordered her off the stage.
01:28Okay, that's it. We're done. You're out. Go.
01:31That's not fair. That is not fair, Dr. Phil.
01:35As she exited, she collapsed near the audience and broke down in tears.
01:38Number 29. The Beverly Hills Brat
01:41Teen influencer Nicolette Gray arrived on the show insisting that her mother cutting her monthly allowance from $5,000 to
01:47$1,000 had effectively ruined her life.
01:51I want my mom to understand that I can't live off of $1,000 a month and I grew up
01:55on a certain lifestyle.
01:56She can't just take that away from me immediately.
01:58If someone took her lifestyle away from her, she wouldn't like that.
02:02And I grew up on it. It's all I ever know.
02:04I can't deal with this.
02:06Nicolette argued that designer clothes, luxury shopping trips, and expensive meals were necessities.
02:11Dr. Phil was having absolutely none of it.
02:13He bluntly told her that giving a teenager thousands of dollars every month was insane and only encouraged entitlement.
02:20And what you need to do is do what is required for her to be better.
02:27And is she going to be unhappy about it?
02:30Yes.
02:31Yes.
02:31Extremely.
02:32This is what she's going to do at home.
02:33Things grew even more tense when he suggested she get a minimum wage job to learn responsibility.
02:39Nicolette scoffed that working was too much effort and wouldn't fund her lifestyle.
02:44At one point, she even began crying at the prospect of working.
02:47Dr. Phil's frustration was written all over his face.
02:50I don't want to sit at the bottom.
02:52What, what, do you want to be head of brain surgery at Cedars?
02:55No!
02:57Because you can't do that until you learn how to do brain surgery.
03:01Well, I don't want to do that.
03:02Well, good.
03:04Number 28.
03:04A debt-ridden teenager.
03:06Cheryl Lynn managed to shock even seasoned viewers of Dr. Phil.
03:09The teenager admitted to accumulating nearly $25,000 in debt across multiple credit cards,
03:15while extracting over $100,000 from her mother and boyfriend.
03:19Do you have 17 credit cards and you said you just throw the bills away when they come in?
03:23Yeah.
03:24That's theft.
03:26Oh.
03:26Okay.
03:27What makes you think you're entitled to use somebody else's money?
03:30Why not?
03:31So you're just a criminal they haven't caught yet?
03:34I guess.
03:35During the interview, she casually revealed that she had stolen her mother's jewelry,
03:39pawned it, and even used her mother's social security number to open up a gambling account.
03:43Dr. Phil's patience evaporated as she shrugged off behavior that could have resulted in criminal charges.
03:48And you pawned your mother's heirloom jewelry?
03:52Correct.
03:52They were ugly.
03:54They weren't yours.
03:55They were very sentimental.
03:56What?
03:56They were very sentimental.
03:58After she admitted shoving a fish sandwich into her mother's face and throwing pizza at her,
04:03he openly mocked her grammar and attitude.
04:05Tell me how that's flattering to you.
04:07I mean, she should've ate faster.
04:10It's eaten, not ate.
04:11Did you sell your fifth grade grammar book?
04:13The episode ended with Dr. Phil dramatically tearing up a check he had intended to give to her.
04:18Number 27.
04:19Vodka Water Bottle
04:20Trever's return appearance did not go the way anyone had hoped.
04:24The mother of two had previously appeared on the program, arriving barefoot and clearly intoxicated.
04:38After undergoing treatment, she was invited back to discuss her progress.
04:42Unfortunately, Dr. Phil quickly learned that Trever had been drinking vodka from a water bottle before coming on stage.
04:48His reaction was immediate.
04:50Looking visibly stunned and frustrated, he questioned her repeatedly.
04:53Are you kidding me?
04:54You're here in the studio drinking vodka out of a water bottle.
05:06The disappointment was obvious.
05:08Rather than celebrating her recovery, Dr. Phil found himself confronting yet another example of self-sabotage.
05:14Few moments capture his frustration with relapse and denial more clearly than this one.
05:18Do you think you'll just eventually drink yourself to death?
05:22I don't. I don't want to.
05:23Number 26. Sit down or leave.
05:27This confrontation became memorable because Dr. Phil spent most of it dismantling a guest's claims one by one.
05:33You've got posts on your social media you say works at Interscope Records, lives in New York.
05:43I told people.
05:45So that's not true. You're just jacking with people.
05:48The rapper arrived determined to challenge the host and repeatedly attempted to talk over him throughout the interview.
05:54As inconsistencies in his story emerged, Dr. Phil methodically called them out.
05:58The guest continued interrupting and posturing, prompting Dr. Phil to draw a line in the sand.
06:03His warning was simple and unmistakable.
06:06All right. Here we go.
06:08What's going on with me?
06:10No, I'm not going to sit down.
06:11Sit down or leave. I don't care which. Do whatever you want.
06:15You want attention? Hell, this is your big day.
06:18Although security never escorted the rapper off stage, the threat hung over the remainder of the conversation.
06:23It was one of those moments where Dr. Phil made it very clear who was running the show.
06:27I know the people at Interscope Records and they tell me they don't know you.
06:33Oh, they don't know me? Who are you talking to?
06:36They say they don't know you at all.
06:39Good or bad.
06:41Number 25. A backstage confrontation.
06:44Brittany came to Dr. Phil facing some serious allegations.
06:47Former friends accused her of repeatedly stalking men and fabricating pregnancies, which she tried pinning on them.
06:53We actually got an email from a friend of yours who was concerned about you and said that you needed
06:59help.
07:00Time out.
07:01I'm sorry?
07:01You need to take a time out.
07:03Well, I don't want you to take a time out. I want you to talk to me.
07:06The situation was reportedly so severe that she had two outstanding warrants for her arrest.
07:11Dr. Phil pressed her on the claims, asking for evidence to support her story.
07:15Instead of answering the questions, Brittany abruptly stormed off.
07:18Well, you haven't been fully forthcoming with us, with my staff.
07:23Okay, I can. That's because I don't know this.
07:25You need to listen to me.
07:26No, I don't.
07:30Backstage, Dr. Phil initially tried a gentler approach, assuring her that he wanted to help.
07:35But when he felt she was trying to manipulate the situation and dodge accountability, he snapped.
07:40Okay, I've had about enough of this.
07:42I've offered to help you.
07:44You either want to talk to me or you don't.
07:46I've had about enough of this.
07:47I'm either going to talk to you or I'm going to talk about you.
07:50He bluntly told Brittany he was tired of her antics and warned her that if she refused to participate,
07:55he would discuss the allegations on the show with or without her.
07:58I prefer to help you, but I am through being manipulated by you.
08:03I'm not trying to manipulate you.
08:04Then sit down and talk to me.
08:06Number 24. Listen to me.
08:08Danielle's appearance became an exercise in frustration.
08:11She described herself as a singer chosen by God and insisted she deserved custody of her child,
08:15despite extensive concerns raised by others.
08:18I have custody of our daughter because Danielle is an unfit mother and she continuously interfered
08:27and denied a relationship between me and my daughter.
08:31According to the discussion, she had repeatedly contacted Child Protective Services with unfounded
08:35complaints and once called poison control because her ex-husband allowed their child to drink
08:40a sports beverage.
08:41I called the pediatrician and the pediatrician said, well, she could get excessive diarrhea.
08:49She can get very sick from that.
08:51You should call poison control.
08:52Throughout the interview, Danielle maintained that a vast conspiracy was working against her.
08:57Every attempt at reasoning seemed to bounce off a wall.
09:00Finally, an exasperated Dr. Phil snapped at her.
09:03You need to stop talking and you need to listen to me.
09:06Yes, sir.
09:07You are on self-destruct as a mother.
09:10You keep shaking your head no, you need to-
09:12Because you've done this to me so many times, Dr. Phil.
09:14Oh my God.
09:16Listen to me.
09:17Even that didn't seem to break through.
09:19Danielle left the stage without acknowledging a single thing he said.
09:22Number 23.
09:23You are lying to me right now.
09:25After 17 years of marriage, Kim discovered that her husband Mike had built much of their
09:29life on lies.
09:31For five years, Mike pretended to hold a job, spending his days sitting in his car or wandering
09:35public parks.
09:36Listen, I'm very pragmatic, okay?
09:38So I'm just really wondering, do you really want to know why?
09:41If you do, we can ask him and I'm sure he'll have some-
09:45He'll lie about it.
09:46No, he'll have some explanation, genuine or not.
09:50The deception became so extensive that even his son no longer viewed him as a father figure,
09:54hoping to understand why, Dr. Phil asked Mike what drove him to lie.
09:59When Mike described it as an almost automatic impulse, Dr. Phil immediately pushed back.
10:04That is not natural.
10:05That is a crock.
10:07You got her to quit her job and told her you were moving to Germany.
10:12I did.
10:13I did.
10:13Don't tell me that's natural.
10:15That's not natural.
10:16You are lying to me right now.
10:18Maybe you're lying to yourself.
10:19Mike eventually admitted that he feared disappointing Kim and failing to meet her expectations.
10:23By that point, however, both Kim and Dr. Phil seemed deeply skeptical that they were finally
10:28hearing the whole truth.
10:30Now, you can go talk to a therapist and they'll say, okay, how does that make you feel?
10:34Mm-hmm.
10:34And how does that make you feel?
10:35Uh-huh.
10:36Come back next week and tell me how that makes you feel.
10:38Uh-huh.
10:38Uh-huh.
10:39Uh-huh.
10:39Gotcha.
10:39Gotcha.
10:39Gotcha.
10:40Or you can just meet some old country boy from Texas that's going to just tell you
10:43that's a load of crap.
10:45Number 22.
10:45The mother of the twins with disordered eating.
10:47This episode centered on 16-year-old identical twins, Taylor and Trisha, whose severe eating
10:52disorders had caused their weight to plummet dramatically.
10:55Right now, would you describe yourself as too heavy, too thin, about right?
11:04Too thin.
11:05Their parents appeared on the show seeking help, but the conversation took an unexpected
11:09turn almost immediately.
11:11Dr. Phil confronted their mother, Vicky, about emails she had sent producers requesting
11:15money for appearing on the program.
11:16He proceeded to read portions of the messages aloud, including requests for compensation
11:21and spending money.
11:22We shouldn't have this extra stress for no reason.
11:25We had to do a lot.
11:26I need spending money for the girls for things other than food, not hotel-only money.
11:31I'm not telling them they can't buy anything except food.
11:35Vicky insisted her words were being misunderstood, but Dr. Phil was not persuaded.
11:39His irritation became increasingly obvious as he questioned why financial demand seemed to
11:44be competing with concern for her daughter's health.
11:47Let me make it clear right now in front of God, cameras, and everybody, there are no promises.
11:52There are no guarantees.
11:54You get what you get.
11:55All I can do is the best I can do, and that begins with giving you a wake-up call.
12:01Number 21, screaming at the violent dad.
12:04This was one of the rare times Dr. Phil literally raised his voice to make a point.
12:08The episode featured a father caught on video screaming aggressively at his young son, who
12:12appeared terrified and was crying throughout the confrontation.
12:15I can't begin to tell you how counterproductive this is to a child that is experiencing the
12:26inability to regulate his emotions.
12:29Rather than simply discussing the footage, Dr. Phil decided to demonstrate what the child
12:33likely experienced.
12:34He stood face-to-face with the father and began yelling in a similar manner.
12:38When you get in his face, at his level or any level, and say, do you see how this works?
12:48You've stopped parenting and you've started managing by intimidation.
12:52The father quickly became uncomfortable, which was exactly the point.
12:55Dr. Phil wanted him to feel the intimidation his son had felt.
12:59It was a dramatic tactic, but one that produced one of the show's most unforgettable confrontations.
13:03Have you talked to him about being possessed?
13:10After he overheard the conversation when I went in my kitchen, he asked,
13:14It's nothing to hide.
13:16I'm not going to hide it.
13:17I think there's a major problem here.
13:19Number 20.
13:20When no one's ready to listen.
13:22Overprotective mother Cindy brings her daughter Sarah on this episode to share their suspicions
13:26about her daughter-in-law Marissa.
13:28Cursed words fly left and right, and the drama is on.
13:31When Sarah can't contain herself, Phil gives her a piece of his mind, albeit in his signature
13:36gentle cadence.
13:37I don't know what you have on your mind, or who you think you are, but that's not happening
13:45here.
13:46And if you're that immature, then I'm going to invite you to leave.
13:50Immature is lying about a miscarriage and saying that I'm a sociopath.
13:53If you cannot conduct yourself in an appropriate manner, then I'm going to invite you to leave.
13:57When her mom comes to the rescue, claiming she's just defensive about her so-called cubs,
14:01you can almost feel the doctor's eyes rolling.
14:04Things get even more heated when Marissa comes in with an arsenal of expletives of her own.
14:09Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
14:12No, no, no, no, no, no.
14:13You need to stop right there.
14:15Were you able to hear what I was saying backstage?
14:17Yes, I did.
14:18Then you need to...
14:19I am pissed off.
14:20I am tired of them trying to humiliate me on national television.
14:23In the end, Dr. Phil is left trying to mediate between three quarreling women, none of whom
14:29want to back down. He quickly makes it obvious that he has had enough.
14:34Number 19, a strict warning. This show might have spawned memes galore, but this episode
14:39is as serious as it gets. Wilma is claiming her husband, Adam, behaved inappropriately
14:43with her toddlers and violated her. Adam, on the other hand, is bent on denying it until
14:47the bitter end. As the two parties reach a deadlock, Dr. Phil issues a final warning.
14:52I need to be clear with both of you. I take this very seriously.
15:00This is a very high-stakes scenario. He offers to help either one who is willing
15:05to fess up and ask for his guidance. However, when they stand their ground, he sternly advises
15:10them against lying, saying that he will take it upon himself to prosecute them if they're
15:14found guilty.
15:14Have I been clear?
15:15Oh, yeah.
15:16You understand the role I'm going to play if either one of you are lying about this, just
15:21so we know.
15:22It's a surprise they didn't buckle under the pressure because it was heavy.
15:26Number 18, defending his staff. No one messes with Dr. Phil's team, and he makes it clear
15:31in this episode. We meet Andrew and Sarah, who lost custody of their son Drew when he was
15:35five. The pair were struggling with alcohol use disorder, and Sarah's relationship with
15:39her mother, Drew's custodian, Roberta, had soured. Now they want their child back, but Roberta
15:44has no faith in their parenting. That said, the moment Phil lost his school was actually
15:49when he found out about Andrew misbehaving with his staff.
15:52You've been calling up the staff repeatedly from 6.30 in the morning until late at night,
16:02screaming and making demands and telling them if they worked for you, you would fire them.
16:09Equipped with all the instances of his misconduct, which included racism, misogyny, and a general
16:14mean-spirited attitude, the host grilled him with no mercy. Although Andrew claimed he had a good
16:20reason for it, Dr. Phil had no interest in his excuses.
16:23Did you call him screaming?
16:25No, no, you, you, I asked you a question.
16:28Yeah, that's after I asked you several that you didn't answer.
16:31No, you didn't.
16:32Number 17, the cancer hoax. Around the same time that Belle Gibson was garnering infamy for
16:37faking her cancer diagnosis, Dr. Phil's guest Jessica claimed her mom, Patricia, was doing
16:41it too. In this episode, Jessica attempts to expose Patricia for lying about living with
16:46terminal cancer, as well as a host of other illnesses. According to her, she's clout
16:51chasing to create an image of an accomplished weightlifter who powered through cancer to
16:55break records in her sport.
16:56If you were there, you would have seen me break and make three worlds record, Jessica.
17:02You didn't break a world record.
17:04Yes, I did. UPA.
17:06At one point, Patricia even argues that she lost around 100 pounds in only a few days.
17:11What sends Dr. Phil over the edge is when Patricia feigns ignorance about the impossibility of
17:16the claims. His usually calm demeanor gives way to a dose of sarcasm, leaving the audience
17:20in splits.
17:21You lost 100 pounds in six days. Does that make even common sense to you?
17:26I don't know, I'm not a doctor.
17:28Well, you don't need to be a doctor to know you can't lose 100 pounds in six days unless
17:33they're cutting off body parts.
17:35Number 16, the world's biggest bride.
17:38This case was the perfect example of how an unrealistic body goal had put a young woman
17:42on the road to self-destruction.
17:44Suzanne, who was days away from getting married, shared her dream of being an 800-pound bride
17:48with Dr. Phil.
17:50Toward that end, she was consuming nearly 30,000 calories a day.
17:54While Phil was rather understanding of her plight, it was her sister Cassie who angered him
17:57when she argued Suzanne was healthier than she was.
18:00No, she's not.
18:02Actually, she is.
18:03Unless you're in stage four cancer, she is not healthier than you are.
18:06I've had a history of heart problems. She's healthier than I am.
18:09Oh my God, I can't believe what you just said.
18:11He saw no logic behind the claim that her diet was in any way nutritious, especially when
18:15half of it was junk food. For Suzanne's own good, Phil made her sure to dispel her sister's
18:20delusion.
18:21We did a pre-interview with her, okay?
18:23Okay.
18:23She told us what she had to eat the day that we did the pre-interview with her.
18:28She's healthier than you? Then you need to stay here when she leaves.
18:32Number 15. What are you, a Stepford wife?
18:35When a pair of vexed parents, Nathan and Jaycee, bring their teen daughter Valencia to Dr. Phil
18:39to discuss her troubled nature, the host turns the line of questioning on them. He finds out
18:44that the dad's violent toward their daughter, and the mom couldn't care less about it.
18:48Dr. Phil is visibly distressed by Jaycee's spineless negligence and snaps, calling her
18:53a Stepford wife.
18:54He sends you upstairs and you just go. What are you, a Stepford wife?
18:58You've got a wild-eyed man standing there, frustrated, upset. She's laughing in his face.
19:04He sends you upstairs, so you just toddle off?
19:07He gets even more irritated when the couple keeps coming up with excuses for their mistreatment
19:12of Valencia.
19:13Regardless of their constant explanations, Phil makes it crystal clear that assault is never
19:17the answer, and he does it in a way that stings.
19:20You scared me. There's seven other children in this home, right?
19:24Right.
19:24Yes, there is.
19:27I'm horrified.
19:28Number 14, a toxic husband. Marlon comes on Dr. Phil to whine about his wife Deidre not
19:33fitting his beauty standards.
19:35I don't believe I'm asking for a lot. She also, I think she needs to lose about 20 pounds.
19:40No, I think you need to lose 20 pounds in your head.
19:43His comments get more and more grafting as he compares her to his ideal woman, Beyonce.
19:47He demands she lose weight and doll herself up, all while managing their household on
19:51her own. She, on the other hand, has had enough of his narcissism, and from the look
19:56of it, Dr. Phil wants no part of it either. His pent-up annoyance is clear in his raised
20:00tone, but his reaction gets juicier when he pulls out the sass.
20:04What you're describing, to have your life, what you need to do is hire you a hooker,
20:09a cook, and a babysitter.
20:10The episode ends with Deidre getting an empowering makeover as she regains her confidence.
20:15Number 13, a personal trigger. Very rarely does Dr. Phil bring his own business into his
20:21guests' problems. However, this episode was a striking exception. Three sisters, Devin,
20:26Riley, and Autumn, attempt to hold their mother, Linda, accountable for her alcohol and substance
20:30use disorder. They say she downs about 18 bottles of beer in a day and is hostile to her family.
20:35You had to come here to have this conversation with me for me to point out to you for the
20:41first time like, oh, I am abusive, negligent, and hurtful to my daughters. Somebody needs
20:50to get your attention, woman.
20:52It is further revealed that their father, Scott, is a problematic parent too, and enables his
20:56wife. Stuck in a dysfunctional household, the girls remind Dr. Phil of his own childhood.
21:01Exasperated by Linda and Scott's behavior, he recalls how his father's alcohol use disorder
21:05affected him negatively. He gets so infuriated that he can't help but want to slap some sense
21:10into Scott.
21:11I've been in there with the yelling and the screaming and the name calling and the throwing
21:15and nobody would step up and man up and do something about it. And I resented it then
21:22for me and I resent it now for the three of you.
21:25Number 12. Not a space for mockery. Dr. Phil takes pride in maintaining the integrity of
21:30his stage. So when his guest Charles is on the verge of tears and fear of losing the love
21:34of his life Sally, he does his best to create a safe space for him. He brings out coach Mike
21:39Bayer to talk to him and Charles breaks down in a moment of vulnerability.
21:42The universe, higher power is all communicating to you that this is not the right fit.
21:49I do love her though and I wish that I could do something to change to have her in my
21:54life
21:54before I grow old with her.
21:56After all, Sally, who's married to someone else and is also dating another man, Alan,
22:00has no plans of getting back together. However, when Alan starts to sneer at his predicament,
22:05Phil doesn't go easy on him. He immediately sends him down to the audience section and warns
22:10him against being inappropriate. You are being inappropriate and I am not going to have you
22:14here mocking this situation. So I'm going to have to ask you to sit in the chair right down
22:19there where he came from. If that's not okay, then you go out the back door. Either one,
22:25you just take your choice. Viewers burst into applause as Charles continues his consultation with
22:29Mike. Number 11. Do not insult my intelligence. A woman's attempt to demean her daughter with
22:35backhanded insults goes horribly wrong when Dr. Phil calls her out. This case revolves around
22:39Stephanie and her mother, Michelle, who are at odds with each other. The former claims Michelle
22:44got her arrested by falsifying an assault report. Meanwhile, Michelle is concerned about Stephanie's
22:48harmful actions stemming from her alcohol use disorder.
22:51You say that you take her to the hospital for a seven-day hold because she's hallucinating
22:55and showing erratic behavior because of drinking.
22:59Drinking and a combination of the medications that she's been on.
23:02As Phil tries to understand Stephanie's situation and why she faced a setback in her recovery journey,
23:07her mother chimes in with passive aggression. This instantly takes him off and he rebukes her,
23:12cautioning her against questioning his ability to pick up on her antagonism.
23:16Do not insult my intelligence by trying to think that I don't understand how derogating your comments
23:22are when you make them. I am not a fool.
23:26As always, he isn't afraid to get curt.
23:28Number 10. Did you go to the fifth grade? Everyone remembers Danielle Bregoli, aka the catch-me-outside
23:34girl. She went viral thanks to her rebellious behavior, weird phrases, and fake street accent,
23:46but Phil wasn't having any of it. After Danielle gives a smart-alecky remark about stealing a car,
23:52Phil stares in disbelief before asking if she went to the fifth grade.
23:56This results in shocked gasps from the audience who proceeded to clap while Danielle marinates in the burn.
24:02It's not easy to get the otherwise calm and collected Dr. Phil to insult you in front of hundreds of
24:06people, but Danielle managed to find a way. Number 9. You, sir, have a black heart. This is a bit
24:12of a dark
24:13episode. Pamela claims that her ex-husband Pete ran out of their family to be with a massage therapist
24:18he met at a couple's retreat. She also blames him for their son taking his own life.
24:22Because I think you have said some things here today
24:26that are absolutely reckless. Pete in turn says that Pamela wanted their son dead. It all culminates
24:34in a fiery and destructive three-minute speech from Phil. And I pray to God that you don't mean
24:40them, because if you do, you, sir, have a black heart. The host absolutely tears into Pete by calling
24:47him reckless and destructive before telling him that he has a black heart. Of course, everything is said
24:52in that calm, Dr. Phil Cadence, but you can tell that he is just seething inside. He's not often
24:58one to judge people, but he's doing a whole lot of judging here. Number 8. Get a job. This kid
25:04is so
25:04spoiled rotten that Phil resorts to raising his voice. Now, that's an accomplishment.
25:09You say you watch me and you take notes. Well, take this note.
25:12In this episode, an aspiring singer, self-named King Keith Franklin VII, believes that becoming famous
25:18is more important than a job or an education. As such, the 20-year-old lounges around his mother's
25:23house hoping to achieve that goal. Unfortunately, his mother isn't having it, and neither is Dr. Phil.
25:28The host tears into him by ordering him to pull his own weight and contribute around the house before
25:33straight up telling him to get a job. You don't sit around watching Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian
25:38or Dr. Phil on television and tell yourself that's a life education. Get a job. Reality checks can be
25:44hard to listen to, especially when they come from a nearly yelling and clearly irate Dr. Phil.
25:50Number 7. You don't put words in my mouth. In this episode, Phil sits down with couple Paul in Alaska.
25:55I have no reason whatsoever to believe that she's having sex with anyone.
26:00Don't sound like it.
26:01Alaska has a cuddling business and uses provocative photos to market herself.
26:05This has led Paul to worry about her sexual behavior and personal safety. While defending herself,
26:10Alaska states that Phil has been insinuating various insulting ideas throughout the interview.
26:15In her mind, she thinks Phil believes that she sleeps with the men she meets.
26:19Of course, this sits Phil right off.
26:21You're supposed to be helping, not making me angry.
26:23Well, look at me. Look at me. You don't put words in my mouth.
26:27He tells Alaska that she shouldn't put words in his mouth before looking her dead in the eyes and
26:31stating that he isn't afraid of her. That one woman's, oh damn, expression pretty much sums it up.
26:37Number 6. You are committing a crime. Phil has a short leash when it comes to the mistreatment
26:43of children. That is on full display in this episode that culminates in Phil accusing Kaylee
26:47of a crime.
26:48When a child is a certain age, they don't have the capacity to give consent.
26:55Kaylee gives her daughter alcohol and marijuana and allows her to have sex.
26:59Phil begins Kaylee's roast rather politely, saying that teenagers cannot give consent under the law
27:04and that adults need to monitor their behavior.
27:06You can roll your eyes and you can be sarcastic all you want. You are committing a crime.
27:13However, that was just a prelude to the main event, when Phil tells Kaylee about 20 times
27:17that she is committing a crime by giving her daughter drugs and permitting her to be physically
27:20intimate with other people.
27:22These are crimes.
27:24Phil is less mad and more dumbfounded over the whole situation, and that makes his reaction
27:29all the more entertaining.
27:30Number 5. Let me please have an intelligent conversation.
27:33Many of the previous entries showed a frustrated Dr. Phil. Here, he is positively irate and
27:39it is oh so satisfying.
27:41Let me please have an intelligent conversation without you two bickering back and forth.
27:47First, he shows frustration with an interjection saying, let me please have an intelligent conversation.
27:52And when the guest ignores Phil and begins bickering, he simply sits back and folds his
27:57arm like an ignored and irritated parent.
27:59Will somebody put these children's interests first?
28:01But before the woman can finish, Phil interrupts and goes off about his guest's children, which
28:06culminates in him telling her to shut up.
28:09Here we see all the telltale signs of seething anger, insults, folded arms, interruptions,
28:13yelling, sarcastic rhetorical questions, and exasperated hand gestures.
28:17My dad used to tell me, never pass up a good chance to shut up.
28:21The man is absolutely fuming, and it is kind of terrifying.
28:25Number 4. Kicking off Bumfights Producer.
28:27For those who are unaware, Bumfights was a film that saw people who are unhoused performing
28:32amateur stunts for small amounts of money or alcohol.
28:35The video was enormously controversial and has even been banned in various countries.
28:39It's a sick world.
28:40A man who bought the film rights, known by the alias Ty Beeson, appeared on Dr. Phil hilariously
28:45dressed as Dr. Phil.
28:47However, his appearance lasted for less than a minute before he was kicked off.
28:50That's despicable.
28:52I don't want to talk to you.
28:53You can go.
28:54Phil stated that he didn't want to talk to Ty and promptly had him escorted off the
28:58stage by security.
28:59This is worse than yelling.
29:01That is like when your parents say they're disappointed and refuse to speak to you.
29:04If you think I exploit people, every time you bring a guest on this show, you exploit
29:08them and spread whatever problems they have to the whole world.
29:11You think that's helping them?
29:13Yeah, keep telling yourself that.
29:14You can go.
29:15In a way, we don't think we've ever seen Dr. Phil so angry.
29:18Number 3. Sexy Vegan.
29:20Sexy Vegan has earned his place in the Dr. Phil Hall of Fame thanks to his eccentric physical
29:25appearance and reckless antics.
29:27And in this particular episode, his antics are on full display.
29:30He sings a little theme song, brags about his sexiness, and moonwalks down the aisle
29:34before hurling insults at his mother.
29:36Suffice it to say, that was the last straw for Phil.
29:39Hey, hey, no, you need to look at me.
29:44I don't have to do f***ing s***.
29:46He forcefully tells Sexy Vegan to stop and actually gives him a chance to listen before
29:50kicking him out and apologizing to his audience.
29:52That is childish and immature behavior.
29:55Phil has some serious patience, so to see him kicking someone out over their toxic behavior
30:00truly says a lot about his and Sexy Vegan's tumultuous relationship.
30:04Don't let the door hit you in the ass.
30:06Number 2.
30:07Are you kidding me?
30:08In this episode, Phil shows a troubling clip of three adults bickering at a Little League
30:13baseball practice.
30:14The adults can be heard calling each other crazy and insulting each other's hair colors
30:18and outfits.
30:19You should be punched in the face for how you acted.
30:21One even says that the other should be punched in the face.
30:23Phil in turn brings up the out-of-frame children and literally shakes with anger when screaming,
30:28Are you kidding me?
30:30Are you kidding me?
30:32After some much-deserved roasting, it all ends with a very exasperated Phil leaning back
30:37in his chair and saying, come on, in a very defeated tone.
30:40If it wasn't clear already, Phil really hates when children are involved in adult immaturity
30:46and stupidity.
30:47Number 1.
30:48Kicking out an internet stalker.
30:49This is a legendary episode of Dr. Phil, and it comes with one of the best Phil reactions
30:54of all time.
30:55It's the love story of the century, but you've never physically met.
31:01No, sir.
31:02The guest is Bailey, a young adult who liked the stranger's tweet and promptly fell in
31:06love.
31:06Bailey sent the woman thousands of messages declaring her love, even though they had never even met.
31:11You can all laugh at me, it's fine.
31:12Well, you know what?
31:12I think we're just going to shut this down, because I'm not into all this melodrama and
31:17you playing the victim.
31:18After Bailey plays the victim, Phil quickly shuts the entire interview down, saying that
31:22he's not interested in the melodrama and manipulation.
31:25Nothing about that.
31:26Phil was so incensed at Bailey's behavior that he refused to listen or help, despite claims
31:31of wanting to do so, and just kicked her off instead.
31:34You're very manipulative, and I just, I'm not interested.
31:38Sure, he never raised his voice, but actions speak a hell of a lot louder than words.
