00:00Audi boss Mattia Bonotto says the German mark won't stand against prospective power unit changes for next season,
00:06nor a V8 return beyond that, with the brand in the sport for the long term.
00:12Audi announced in 2022 that it would join the sport this year,
00:16based on the series switch to a cost-controlled, sustainably-fueled super-hybrid F1 car.
00:22But while cost and efficiency remain important to the brand,
00:25Bonotto told the sport's official podcast Beyond the Grid that Audi is open to changes.
00:33We'll be very open to the discussion. We'll be supportive to our constructive discussion.
00:39And I don't think that today there is anything which will stop us by being part in the future.
00:48Former Ferrari boss Luca di Montezemolo has slammed the mark over its new all-electric road car, Luce,
00:54with the Italian stating that if he were to say what he thought about it, it would harm Ferrari.
01:00The prancing horse launched its first EV last week, named Luce, or Light, priced at US$640,000,
01:09but the design of which has divided fans and critics online for its similarity to mass-market counterparts.
01:17The Luce, however, is rapid, with an electric motor on each wheel
01:21that will rocket it to 100 km per hour in around 2.5 seconds, with a top speed of 310.
01:28But Montezemolo isn't convinced.
01:33I hope they at least remove the Ferrari badge, he said.
01:36I'm quite sure that this is a car that even the Chinese won't copy.
