00:36how did it affect you and change your perspective about how to approach an emmy nominated weekend
00:40oh my gosh i don't think i've i don't i i don't think i've learned it really i i um

00:48every year is different like the first year was was you know i i did my kind of go-to
00:53which
00:53is like to not let any compliment set in and not let any excited be like oh please stop that's
00:58all you know and then i realized it was over and i was like oh but that's sad and so
01:03then the next
01:03year i was like take every compliment and absorb it and then when i didn't win i was like oh
01:07i don't
01:08so you know i think like by year three i was like i'm just gonna be present just be here
01:13enjoy being
01:14in the party yeah and that's that's enough and it is it's more than enough it's wonderful so that's
01:19that's what i'm doing this year too and it's like a big like date weekend with me and my husband
01:24so
01:24that's really what i'm enjoying that's amazing and nice to combine those two things right it's a
01:30great excuse yeah let's just get sad and talk about how the show's off the air and yeah but it's
01:38not
01:38it's recorded anybody can watch it anybody can watch it but you know now that you've you've had a little
01:43bit of distance a couple months you know it's nine months since we wrapped your work on the show
01:48as an actress it was thrilling to watch there were times i had to pause it just to be like
01:53i gotta just soak let that soak in can you talk about how you changed as a performer and perhaps
01:59what was the most valuable thing that you learned working with david mandel or julia louis dreyfuss or
02:04tony hale or all these amazing performers that you got to spar with these are such like these i could
02:10write essays on each question um and it still wouldn't uh do it justice i mean what have i learned
02:16as an
02:16actor i i you know i mean i think how to take a note better honestly and it's and i
02:25have to say
02:25that's that is in large part to working with armanda yannucci and with dave mandel like it was
02:31you know um once you're collaborating and you really feel welcome to be on set and and you know that
02:38they
02:39see your value you know then it's then you feel like oh good if they're coming to say something to
02:46me it's only going to make the whole thing better i can't wait that's going to be so great to
02:50try
02:51something you know and so that that i think really felt feels a lot better than when like you're younger
02:56and you're just like oh no they don't like it or something you know what i mean it's like no
03:00we're
03:00all just trying to make it better so that's that's something i i really enjoyed and the last season
03:05was just so was so collaborative and they really brought me to the table on on amy's arc that year
03:11and so it was just every every every day on set was just uh really gratifying yeah that's amazing
03:19everyone's talking about the party to say goodbye to veep and game of thrones do you have a favorite
03:24game of thrones character or actor that you want to hang out with um i mean uh well i mean
03:30uh
03:32hang out with i mean you know some of the some of the folks that i remembered from the beginning
03:38whose characters were honestly killed off were wonderful to hang out with um but uh aria's been
03:44a favorite character since i since she first was on screen you were just like that's who i wanted to
03:50be as a as a 12 year old girl and now and then and then she stayed and you're like
03:55yeah it's just
03:56the best moment you know in in you know that penultimate episode um so yeah and then of course
04:03yeah like come on tyrian peter dinklage like like just yeah probably one of the most uh most
04:09important performances um he's just phenomenal and what and uh i don't know like we're just
04:16the journey of his character is delicious yeah veep is there a private fun after party private
04:22party you're going to invite me to um i i've not been invited so i suppose i can't invite anybody
04:27else to something i've not been invited to well i hope you guys get together and celebrate this
04:31massive emmy winning success and even if there were no emis just the massive creation success of this
04:37beautiful show and your beautiful performance and part in it congratulations and have fun this weekend
