00:00The world is getting more dangerous and the British public want to know this government is
00:04doing everything it can to protect our national security. So can the Prime Minister tell the
00:09House, will the full defence investment plan finally be published this week?
00:15Prime Minister. Mr Speaker, can I agree with her that in relation to both Iran and Ukraine,
00:24we're facing a more volatile world than at any time during our lifetimes? Mr Speaker,
00:30so far as defence is concerned, we've already taken a number of measures. We've increased
00:35defence spending from 2.3 per cent to 2.6 per cent in 2027. That's spending £270 billion
00:42over this Parliament. We've carried out a strategic review of defence and we're committed to
00:49publishing the defence investment plan before the NATO summit, which is in just a few weeks'
00:54time.
00:55Kim Beno.
00:57That sounded like a no, Mr Speaker.
01:00We have wasted two years waiting for the defence investment plan. Projects have been
01:05put on hold and Britain is getting weaker with every passing day.
