00:00At approximately 11.40 last night, Air Canada Flight 8646, operated by Jazz, collided with the Port Authority Aircraft Rescue
00:09and Firefighter Vehicle on Runway 4.
00:13The plane carried 72 passengers and 4 crew. The ARFF vehicle carried 2 officers.
00:22In accordance with our emergency plan, our mutual aid partners, FDNY and NYPD, immediately responded.
00:33Initial numbers indicate that 41 passengers and crew were transported to the hospital as well as the ARFF officers.
00:44At this time, we understand that 32 have been released, but there are also serious injuries.
00:50Sadly, the two pilots are confirmed deceased and notifications are being made by Air Canada's care team at this time.
