00:00Please welcome Tropical Storm Amanda, the first tropical storm in the Eastern Pacific
00:05Basin this season.
00:07And we're expecting it to be a very busy upcoming tropical season.
00:11Now luckily, Amanda, 1,500 miles southwest of the tip of the Baja Peninsula, so we do
00:18not have to worry about Amanda over the next couple of days.
00:21It will not impact land.
00:23We do, however, have to look closer to Mexico.
00:26We have a high risk of development late this weekend into next week that I think we're
00:31going to probably get a tropical storm, maybe a hurricane out of this area.
00:34This is something we're going to have to watch very carefully for Mexico as it could bring
00:39very, very heavy rain.
00:40That also coincides with the time of opening ceremonies for the World Cup.
