00:00I am chasing a supercell here just to the east of Columbia. A tornado watch has
00:05been issued across central Missouri just to the west of St. Louis. You can
00:09already see a wall cloud organizing here. As the storm continues off to the
00:13east, it will have a chance of producing an isolated tornado or two, especially
00:17when it moves into those southerly surface winds. You can see some rising
00:21motion along this base as well. This is the updraft base, the mesocyclone with
00:26the wall cloud as well here. And this storm should turn off to the east,
00:30southeast as it matures and that will give it an increased tornado potential.
00:34There are a number of storms that have developed across the northwest side of
00:37the tornado watch area. A couple of others just to the north of I-44 as well. You
00:42can see it's a very moist environment out here, very low cloud bases as well. So
00:47we are going to continue to track these supercells as they push out of central
00:50Missouri and into the eastern side of the state with the threat of an isolated
00:54tornado or two.
