00:00Today I'm heading to Bespoke Longevity and Aesthetic Clinic for a face refresh.
00:06There's something so restorative about stepping out of the busy mum role to feel a little bit spoiled.
00:12It's about more than the treatment, it's about prioritising yourself
00:16so you can head back out into the world feeling revitalised.
00:25Okay, so we're here now, we've just got to head up to level 2.
00:37I'm here for my level 30.
00:41With Dr Alex.
00:58It is just gorgeous in here, like the minute you walk in, just the feel of it.
01:05Can you just leave this one?
01:07Yes.
01:07You're welcome.
01:09That one.
01:10Thank you so much.
01:11Thank you so much.
01:12Thank you so much.
01:20You can do a bit of shopping while you're here as well.
01:23There's just the most beautiful product obviously.
01:27Cleansers, warming honey cleanser, serums.
01:31Oh, this one's for me.
01:33The big one, the youth one.
01:37But isn't it beautiful?
01:38They've just got gorgeous things here and little bags and I just love it.
01:45Oh, it's so beautiful to be here.
01:48Like, you know when you just walk into Bespoke, it's just an immediate sort of calming atmosphere.
01:55Like, it's just gorgeous.
01:57I actually find myself taking a deeper breath as I just sit here and relax.
02:02Like, it really is beautiful.
02:03And it just brought me some water.
02:05Oh, they've brought me a beautiful warm towel as well.
02:10A nice cloth.
02:12Oh, it's gorgeous.
02:17And another reason I really love this clinic is because they then do also have the longevity
02:23medicine here, which is an aspect of Bespoke.
02:27I haven't explored yet, but I would definitely like to because I would like to be around
02:32to see some grandchildren.
02:34So yeah, it's just beautiful.
02:37So the clinic has the two.
02:40They've got the aesthetic side and they've got the longevity medicine side as well.
02:44Perfect.
03:04So how did it go with the eyes?
03:06Because they're looking really good.
03:08Well, I actually genuinely think there was, like I do think there was a huge difference.
03:13Yeah.
03:14I noticed that today.
03:15Like I thought, oh, because they were initially really puffy.
03:19Of course.
03:19Yeah.
03:20And I actually think maybe they've flattened a little bit.
03:22Do you think so?
03:23I think they're looking great.
03:25Yeah.
03:25I actually thought that.
03:27Yeah.
03:27I think one round it's done really, really well.
03:29Yeah.
03:30And I think if we do deal with just kind of the few of the fine lines around here, I
03:34think
03:34even better.
03:35Yeah.
03:36And I don't like this bit here where I'm-
03:39Okay, too.
03:39What do you think?
03:40It makes it look like sort of I'm angry and-
03:43Yeah.
03:43Yeah.
03:44And I close down like it's got a pulling.
03:46Yeah.
03:47I think on my face.
03:50So, yeah, that's always an issue for me.
03:53Okay.
03:54Well, let's do frown and cross feet then.
03:56Yeah.
03:57Beautiful.
03:57Can you frown for me?
03:58Yeah.
03:59Okay.
04:00So it's not very strong.
04:02Yeah.
04:02So they don't use much, which is good.
04:03But the eyebrows kind of lower on me.
04:06Yeah, they really do come down.
04:08I really notice that.
04:09And then big smile for me.
04:11We'll do a nice little brow lift and a bit of a nail.
04:14Perfect.
04:15Oh, thank you.
04:16Of course.
04:19Now let me see also your lower eyes.
04:25Oh, yeah.
04:26Pull this in.
04:28Yep.
04:30Go like this for me, bunny line for me.
04:33Yep.
04:34So they just slightly pull in.
04:35What I might do is have a look here.
04:38What I like to do on my patients here and pull in again with your bunny lines.
04:41Do you see how it's pulling in here?
04:43Yes.
04:43The pulling.
04:44So I'm just going to do one little dot right there.
04:46Okay.
04:46And then I'll soften that up.
04:48Oh.
04:48Nice.
04:50And then I just do...
05:03And what about my neck?
05:05Yeah.
05:06I'm glad you got that up because we can do one little.
05:09Because, yeah, like I've got, I don't know, tendons or something like that poke out.
05:14The neck bands.
05:15Neck bands.
05:16Yeah.
05:16So especially just this one right here.
05:19So what we'll do is we'll do this neck band here.
05:22Got it this one here.
05:23We might have dressed both neck bands on these sides too.
05:27So especially go with this again.
05:29Because this is pulling down on here as well as the jowling area.
05:32Oh.
05:34And you know, I've been with obviously the two kids.
05:40The three and a half year old has sometimes got me very busy.
05:43And dare I say, sort of feeling a bit stressed.
05:47Oh.
05:48I mean, it's beautiful and all that.
05:50But just, it's busy.
05:51Yeah.
05:52And then obviously the anxiety of looking after a child of a young child.
05:56I find it anyway.
05:58Yeah.
05:58Something that like my brain's sort of in fairly high alert when I'm looking after him.
06:02Because obviously, you know, you have to do a good job and keep him safe and all that.
06:07So I have felt the last couple of years as well just tense.
06:11Like all over tense.
06:13You know, like I'll sort of wake up at two o'clock in the morning thinking of everything I have
06:17to do the next day and all that sort of stuff.
06:23I love you.
06:33I love you.
06:33Because I go and talk to him to school and we can get into that school routine, I think.
06:36It's a hard age right now.
06:38It is a hard age.
06:39Because they're very intensive at this age, I think.
06:43Because you know, he can play on his own for little periods but a lot of the time he's almost
06:49needing constant attention.
06:50of course of course and so then everything else that's not getting done is also in the back of
06:55your mind and you can't just say i'll just go and play for an hour and because you can play
06:59for 10
07:00minutes yeah 15 minutes but by itself yeah yeah but not not for much longer than that no it's hard
07:07and he's only at daycare twice a week so even even on friday i was trying to wash my hair
07:13and then
07:13they were testing the fire alarms in our building and of course i gave him massive fright and i was
07:18covered in conditioner and oh no so yeah i think i think it just makes it worse like all of
07:26my
07:26muscles i think all over my body i think are a little bit tense oh well make sure you take
07:31care
07:32of yourself at the same time yeah so so i do think these bands here have gotten quite a bit
07:40worse
07:41in the last couple of years yeah and that happened just because it's mirroring i think how i'm feeling
07:46a little bit inside yeah i love this clinic so much oh thank you i love having you oh look
07:54i have
07:55actually been true i have actually really been looking around just for a clinic that kind of does
08:00everything so you know i can see you've got a really good broad range of face refresh services that
08:08i know that's awesome you sent me a message after you left yeah well i was really happy
08:17everyone's so nice oh that's so nice i'm glad lying back on the treatment bed the focus remained
08:24entirely on precision and comfort having a squeeze ball handy helped me stay relaxed but after just a
08:32few quiet moments of concentration from the doctor the process was over much faster than i expected
08:40oh look it always feels good to do something i think for yourself like especially when you're
08:45in the mum i'm finding anyway like i do remember it was easy to look after myself as well once
08:51my
08:51daughter went to school i had a bit more of that space but when you've got a child under five
08:56i always say child under five i recommend that's that's the hard hard years i think thank you
09:02there you go you're very welcome good can you give us any hints about skincare um yeah like you know
09:11what what are the best things to do to keep up skincare so i think that um medical grade skincare
09:17is a huge makes a huge difference so i make it very easy yeah so i have a cleanser in
09:23the morning
09:23anything yeah so that's step one in the morning though i'd love to add a vitamin c and then an
09:28spf
09:29the vitamin c is amazing as an antioxidant so it stops the browning and the pigmentation from
09:34happening that happens in the sun think of kind of putting lemon on an avocado around an apple it
09:39stops it from browning that's what we do to the skin and then an spf is an absolute must especially
09:45in australia in the sun right now so an spf 50 is fabulous and you can use that as a
09:50moisturizer
09:51so there's amazing spfs out there now in the evening again that cleanser followed by a retinol
09:56a retinol is my absolute number one um start with the 0.3 move up to a one percent after
10:02that
10:03okay um and then just a regular moisturizer so vitamin c and spf in the morning retinol at night
10:09we make it nice and simple yeah it is that's not manageable yeah because a complicated skincare
10:15oh i know oh wow and what do you think of like peels um are they good for your skin
10:22or are they
10:23aging for your skin are they thin your skin or are they actually good for your skin it depends on
10:27the
10:27type of peel and it depends on the type of skin that we have if we require a peel so
10:31peels are amazing
10:31if we're dealing with things such as texturization um issues like that yeah i don't really like
10:36mechanical exfoliants much but i do like chemical exfoliants but only in the right setting and only
10:43a couple a year maximum because it's really good to keep that skin barrier intact if you have a skin
10:49barrier that's not intact then you're not a candidate for a peel so we have to work on the skin
10:53quality
10:54first oh yeah but good for things such as pigmentation fine lines yeah and what about
11:01diet how much does that affect your skin oh diet is huge yeah is it yeah definitely i think skin
11:07health some patients are a lot um luckier in the fact that potentially their genetics take over and
11:12acne is an issue other patients as clean as they don't it is acne is still an issue but we're
11:17getting
11:17more genetic testing coming out that can really kind of target therapy for acne nowadays but diet is
11:23huge um having a collagen supplement is amazing um creatine is fabulous oh eating copper rich and
11:30zinc rich foods is a great thing for your skin too oh i've heard of creatine what is it in
11:36foods can you
11:37get it in foods you can get it in some food but then a supplement of about five grams a
11:41day is good
11:41yeah oh wow yeah okay yeah i'll keep it in mind yeah creatine monohydrate so even cheap creatines
11:49um do the job you don't have to have very expensive creatines oh yeah and then marine-based
11:54collagen to the way to go marine-based collagens okay i'll just go out and tell i shouldn't
12:00oh thank you yeah you're all right thank you very much it really does feel always good to get skin
12:07refreshing to look after your skin i always say it's like going to the gym isn't it though yeah you
12:12have
12:12to keep it up it's it's skin health and yeah thank you well that was so nice to get another
12:20skin refresh
12:21here and i really do love coming to bespoke clinic like when you go in it really is that the
12:27atmosphere
12:27inside is so soothing and it's so calming and that was a really nice start to the treatment by having
12:34that beautiful warm um hand cold face cloth for my hands and then the cold water like just the sensory
12:40thing of the warm and then the cool was just i don't know it was just really really beautiful
12:45and i've always said that about skin health that it's like any other aspect of your health like
12:50exercise like regular exercise having a good diet most of the time and keeping up with your skin health
12:55too and it was really interesting actually i was glad dr alex shared some of her um tips for a
13:02really good
13:03skincare routine and how simple it can be like just cleanser in the morning vitamin c and i really
13:09liked the analogy of it's like putting lemon on an avocado to stop it from going brown and then an
13:15spf a really high spf especially here in australia spf 50 because we do have a hole in the ozone
13:22layer
13:23above australia and new zealand and then at night just a good cleanser and um some retinol and then a
13:29moisturizer so i learned something every time i come in and just look after my skin health and i'm looking
13:36forward to coming back for my next treatment
