Johor police have seized nearly RM8 million worth of drugs and arrested nine people, including a foreign woman, in raids across Masai and Ulu Tiram on August 12.

Sites included homes and a floating house allegedly used as storage.

00:00Police have seized drugs worth nearly 8 million ringgit and arrested nine people in a series
00:05of raids in Johor, including at a floating house.
00:09Johor Deputy Police Chief D. C. P. Hu Chuan Huat said in the first raid at a house in
00:15Maasai, three men were arrested and large quantities of MDMA powder, ketamine, aramene
00:225 pills, methamphetamine and ecstasy powder were seized.
00:25The second raid targeted a stilt house in Maasai, where four local men, including the
00:32alleged mastermind, were arrested, along with 572 grams of ecstasy powder.
00:39A third raid in Ulutiram led to the arrest of another local man and a foreign woman, with
00:44police seizing liquid methamphetamine cartridges, ecstasy powder, methamphetamine, aramene 5
00:51pills and liquid ketamine.
00:52The suspects range in age from 35 to 65.
00:56Two machines believed to have been used to process ecstasy as well as equipment for
01:01repackaging drugs were also seized.
01:04Police estimate the seized drugs to be worth 7.93 million ringgit, enough to potentially
01:10affect close to 324,000 people.
01:13The syndicate was active since January of this year.
01:18This syndicate's modus operandi is to become a home, gathered and gathered, as a store for
