Sydney Swans CEO Matthew Pavlich and chairman Andrew Pridham have apologised to fans and urged them to keep supporting the club after five players were banned for the rest of the season amid an ongoing police investigation.

00:00There's deep disappointment within the club, what has occurred, and we know that many people are hurting, and we are
00:08providing support to our players, to their partners, to if they think what we can.
00:14Our players, Riley Bice, Nick Lakey, Isaac Keeney, James Jordan and Shabba Warner, will now not be considered for selection
00:22for the remainder of the 2026 AFL season, and that's including the final series.
00:27So we've been working very closely with the five players involved, with the AFL who are supportive of this approach,
00:35and so too we've been chatting a lot at length with the AFL Players Association.
00:39We arrived at this sanction after our own internal inquiries with the five players and other parties.
00:45We're deeply embarrassed and ashamed that our board choices, or the board choices of five of our players, and the
00:53impact that's had on the women involved and also the club.
00:56Our supporters and so many other people that Andrew's talked about, but as I've said, it's important to understand that
01:01this sanction is only as it relates to the players' behaviours and the standards that we accept, and we're expecting
01:08of them post-game.
