00:00Welcome back to episode 4 of the Where to Go Challenge, where I'm traveling to all 50 places on Travel
00:05and Leisure's list of the best places to go this year.
00:07This week's vote brought me to Colonial Williamsburg, which is the largest living history museum in the world.
00:11A trip to Colonial Williamsburg might be the most immersive way to experience America's 250th birthday.
00:16This place has recreated a living, breathing version of 18th century Virginia, where everyone dresses and even talks like they're
00:22from the 1700s.
00:23Ma'am, we shall take a vote!
00:26Walking along Main Street, I found dozens of shops filled with old-fashioned tradesmen working on their crafts from the
00:3118th century.
00:31Like wig makers making braided wigs, an old-school printing press, leather and shoemakers, blacksmiths, and even an old-school
00:38apothecary.
00:38There were also several performances and reenactments happening throughout the day that made this place feel all the more real.
00:44For lunch, I even dined on 18th century delicacies like peanut soup and Cornish hens at the historic King's Arms
00:49Tavern.
00:50After about a 20,000-step day, I transported back to 2026 for a cozy evening at Rochambeau Roadside Inn,
00:56which is a boutique motel with a chic, vintage-style feel.
00:58The hotel recently completed renovations and is the perfect place to stay if you're looking to visit Colonial Williamsburg without
01:03staying on site.
01:04And that wraps up stop number four.
01:05So as always, head to the link in bio and let me know which destination I should head to next.
01:10So as always, head to the next slide.
