00:12Now here's the rundown on your weather.
00:15Farmers pay close attention because this one is especially for you.
00:19From now until the 31st of August 2026,
00:23Tobago is expected to have below normal rainfall
00:26while Trinidad may see near to below normal rainfall.
00:30Conditions will remain hot, humid and very warm
00:33with a higher risk of heat-related hazards.
00:36So that means agriculture could face heat stress,
00:40reduce soil moisture, flooding, plant diseases, strong winds and Sahara dust.
00:46Therefore, farmers are advised to monitor water use
00:49and maintain adequate water storage on fields.
00:53Ensure regular weeding to reduce competition and water stress on crops.
00:57Monitor livestock for heat stress and put in place cooling measures.
01:02Monitor moisture-related pests and plan for disease control.
01:06Practice soil moisture conservation like mulching and trenches.
01:11And maintain windbreaks and irrigate crops, especially in the flowering stage.
01:16Drought conditions are expected in September.
01:19Now that we have that covered, let's see what tonight will bring.
01:23Mostly fair conditions, despite isolated showers over a few areas,
01:27mainly after midnight, with minimum temperatures at 25 degrees in Trinidad and 26 in Tobago.
01:33And tomorrow is going to be a great day with great conditions,
01:37not just because tomorrow is my birthday,
01:40but because the Met Office says generally sunny skies expected,
01:45despite a few party cloudy interruptions with showers from late morning.
01:49It is possible that Trinidad can experience heavy showers during the afternoon.
01:54Maximum temperatures will reach up to 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago.
01:59Now for the next couple of days, Thursday will be party cloudy with scattered showers.
02:05Tobago, there's a chance of some heavy showers on your end.
02:08And on Friday, sunny skies return, but with cloudy intervals.
02:12Tower sun times now in Trinidad.
02:14Sunrise is at 5.56 and 5.52 in Tobago.
02:17And sunset at 6.22 in Trinidad and 6.20 in Tobago.
02:21And if you're planning on celebrating my birthday tomorrow with a beach line,
02:25seas will be slight to moderate with waves up to 1.5 meters in open waters
02:30and below 1 meter in sheltered areas.
02:33So generally calm to somewhat choppy.
