00:09Welcome to MojoPlays, and today we're taking a look at 10 great classic cartoon games that
00:15we'd love to see get remade. Before we begin, we publish new content all week long, so be sure to
00:28subscribe and ring the bell to be notified about our latest videos. The Simpsons Arcade Game
00:44So imagine this, the already crisp cartoony visuals and brilliant brawling of The Simpsons Arcade Game,
00:50but reimagined as something like TMNT Shredder's Revenge, or even Streets of Rage 4. That fantastic
00:57pixely goodness paired with buttery smooth controls and quick pick up and play fun.
01:02That would be quite swell indeed. This classic arcade game is still an absolute blast today,
01:07make no bones about it. Stepping into the various roles of the eponymous family to pummel your way
01:12through Springfield is just so much fun. We'd love to see a fresh spin on this cartoony classic.
01:27Rugrats, search for Reptar.
01:35It's often the 3D games of yesteryear that need the remake treatment the most, since, if we're honest,
01:42going back to them isn't always as enjoyable as we might think. Sure, the charm is still there,
01:47but things like controls, camera work, progression, and the like can often leave a lot to be desired.
01:52Well, such is the case with 1998's Rugrats Search for Reptar. This 3D adventure starring the Nickelodeon
01:59toddlers is a heck of a lot of fun, even if quite cryptic at times. Getting to see this cartoony
02:05romp
02:05in the modern era with a completely revamped ground up remake would be stellar. More exploration,
02:11more puzzles, more platforming, and hopefully a retweaked goose section for those of us who are
02:16still scared. If you know, you know. It's no surprise that the NES's Darkwing Duck takes a lot of cues
02:39and
02:39inspirations from Mega Man. Fast, fluid, run and gun action, tough levels, and challenging bosses are just
02:46some of the things that await the terror that flaps in the night. Like many NES action platformers,
02:51Darkwing Duck still plays great, but imagine seeing this one with a fresh coat of pixelated paint,
02:57more fluid controls, expanded levels, perhaps even some metroidvania elements, and even more weapons
03:03and gadgets for Darkwing to use. It'd be a real treat that we hope happens one day.
03:16Looney Tunes Sheep Raider, also known as Sheepdog and Wolf.
03:29So does anyone out there remember the 3D puzzle focused hijinks of Sheep Raider?
03:34Known as Sheepdog and Wolf in some regions, it's a great time. It perfectly encapsulates the Looney
03:39Tunes vibes through and through as you strive to gather up sheep as the greedy hooligan Ralph Wolf,
03:45all under the nose of Sam Sheepdog if possible. Doing so however is no easy feat, not at all. Ralph
03:52will need to scour the lovingly crafted cartoony puzzle playgrounds for ways to thwart Sam, sneakily
03:59or otherwise, with sheep, or as my wife and I call them, shoops, as your main prize. It's so fun
04:05to
04:06experiment with the wacky Acme items and gadgets in this game, trying to come up with a brilliant,
04:10or in our case, not so brilliant plan to steal your coveted derpy shoops.
04:25Hey, no need to be sheepish. Simply head on over to our awesome 24-7 gaming live stream right here

04:37The Adventures of Batman and Robin
04:47Based on Batman the Animated Series, it's no surprise really that 1994's The Adventures of
04:53Batman and Robin is a brilliantly vibrant and fun romp through some crazy tough yet endlessly fun
04:59stages. Apart from being a visual treat, the game is just a blast to play. Barreling through stages with
05:05your brawn, gadgets, and wits about you, each stage throws new baddies, hazards, and obstacles,
05:10courses for you to contend with. Oh, and let's not forget about the larger-than-life boss battles.
05:15Now, you might argue that the game doesn't really need a remake since it still looks captivating today,
05:21but giving this experience a fresh lease on life could expand the stages with things like more
05:27exploration, give Batman and Robin even more tools and weapons to use, and perhaps even branching story paths.
05:41Mickey Mania The Timeless Adventures of Mickey Mouse
05:55Now, there's a reason this game's title has the word timeless in it. There's just something so exuberantly
06:01timeless about, not only Mickey Mouse, but the way this game tosses Mickey into levels based on his
06:07previous cartoon outings. Hence, of course, why it's timeless. But this nature also seeps over into the
06:13gameplay itself. Here, you guide Mickey through a pretty straightforward platforming affair, but each
06:19and every crafted stage truly plays out like you are watching one of the versions of the cartoon from
06:24Mickey itself. It's utterly fantastic. We'd love to see this game brought into the modern gaming landscape,
06:30perhaps with each cartoon being a section of something like a larger metroidvania map,
06:35or something like that. So many ideas, really. Let's do this, Disney.
06:47Teenage Mew Ninja Turtles 4 Turtles in Time
06:57Now, with the likes of the incredible Shredder's Revenge, do we really need to see a remake of
07:02Turtles in Time? Well, yeah, duh, of course we do. The more TMNT the better, right? Turtles in Time is
07:08a
07:08stone cold classic through and through. Awesome stages, weighty and gripping combat, fun as heck bosses,
07:14and never a dull moment in sight. No matter if you play alone or with your friends,
07:19stepping into the roles of each turtle feels great here. Like we've mentioned in this list already,
07:24tossing this game into a crisp, highly detailed pixel graphics engine would be so cool to see,
07:29all while hopefully tightening up the gameplay for even more fun moment-to-moment experiences
07:34that can captivate us all over again.
07:45Goof Troop
07:55With the likes of It Takes Two, Split Fiction, and other awesome co-op focused experiences,
08:00it's no surprise then that Super Nintendo's Goof Troop itself, a highly enjoyable solo or co-op,
08:07the preferred way to play, puzzle romp could excel in the modern era. Imagine playing this game locally
08:12today with bigger levels, more intricate puzzles, better communication between Goofy and Max, and
08:18well, you'd have yourself a winner. Plus, a modern reimagining could have full online co-op support,
08:24so friends and family can join in on the fun from anywhere. It's still a real gem all on its
08:29own,
08:29but bringing a more detailed and expanded version in the form of a remake would allow a whole new
08:34generation to experience this great puzzle-focused adventure.
08:46Bugs Bunny Lost in Time and Bugs Bunny and Tez Time Busters
08:57So, we have ourselves a little two for one specialty here, since in all honesty,
09:02we couldn't really decide which one to put here. They are, in fact, both awesome Looney Tunes games,
09:07but for different reasons. Lost in Time is just the perfect example of a cartoon's shenanigans
09:13translating over to a full 3D platforming adventure. The levels, the mischief, the way Bugs Bunny interacts
09:19with the world and characters. Just all of it oozes cartoony charm and fun. Now, hopping over to
09:24Time Busters, here we see Taz and Bugs team up, kind of like Goofy and Max, to solve puzzles,
09:30decipher level clues, and choose their own version of cartoony destruction to get through each level.
09:36Like we mentioned in the Goof Troop entry, a full-on local and online co-op version of Time Busters,
09:41fully remade, would be a real blast. Perhaps a double pack with both games? Or, heck, if we're getting greedy,
09:46even a triple pack with Sheep Raider tossed in? Well, one can certainly dream.
09:59Scooby-Doo Knight of 100 Frights
10:03Hey Holly! Hey Daphne! I'm so glad you could make it. And you must be Freddy, Velma, Shaggy, and Scooby
10:12-Doo.
10:12Anyone at all who has jumped into the world of Scooby-Doo video games knows one thing for sure.
10:18Night of 100 Frights is the epitome of the Scooby-Doo experience in video game form. It's just
10:24the perfect amalgamation of family-friendly spookiness, rewarding narrative-slash-clue-focused
10:29exploration, zany gags and hijinks, and just a lovingly crafted world that feels like you are playing
10:35out multiple episodes of the beloved cartoon. It's so, so good. Even with its flaws and faults,
10:41of which there are some, of course. In my book, at least, Night of 100 Frights kind of seems like
10:46the most doable candidate for a remake, I think, I hope.
10:58It's a cult classic that is still enjoyable today, however, could easily benefit from enhanced controls,
11:04better camerawork, and better guidance through this interconnected spooky Scooby landscape.
11:09Keep everything great about this game, and just polish, refine, and upgrade it to a shiny tee,
11:14and you'd have yourself a real winner on your hand. And perhaps even start off a whole new era of
11:20awesome Scooby-Doo games. Heck, just standing outside of Mystic Manor is enough to put a big ol' smile on
11:26my face.
11:36So what did you think of our picks for this list? What are some classic cartoon games you'd love to
11:41see get remade? Let us know in the comments.
