Senator Jon Ossoff met with Black women leaders in Atlanta alongside Senator Angela Alsobrooks to address some of the most pressing challenges facing Black women in Georgia. Discussions focused on economic inequality, disproportionate job losses, job retention, and the persistent wealth and employment gap. Leaders also raised serious concerns about healthcare access, maternal health disparities, the refusal to expand Medicaid, and the growing pressure on clinics and community hospitals. Ossoff also condemned efforts to restrict voting access and weaken democratic participation, putting Georgia’s economic, healthcare, and voting rights challenges at the center of the political debate.
