00:00Well it was now emerging that the Spanish authorities ignored warnings about the chaos
00:06that could be unleashed in Ceuta. Absolutely shocking stuff and in terms of how this is
00:13impacting the view of Spanish people well you can see here the PP which is the People's Party,
00:21the Conservatives in Spain dominating the polls, the socialists in big big trouble and you can see
00:28there the left not even hitting 35% in the latest polling that you could now see in a general
00:37election in Spain the People's Party, Conservatives and the right-wing Vox Party reaching between 206
00:46and 210 seats far beyond the 176 required for a majority and of course that mayhem that we saw
00:55in Ceuta coming after the Spanish left-wing government opened up that big amnesty for illegal
01:04migrants well over a million people applying and in terms of the crisis of those illegally entering
01:12the Spanish territory of Ceuta well it's now estimated there was 80,000 people and by the way
01:20you know some have been saying well this has all been sorted out there have been estimates recently
01:24that between 8,000 and 11,000 migrants remain in Ceuta the population is only 84,000 and even reports
01:33that dozens actually reached mainland Spain as well but what is truly truly shocking is it's now emerging
01:41well it's been claimed by the borders workers union that there was a warning about this and that the
01:49Spanish government did not heed the warnings and took little action that's what they told Reuters there
01:58this coming after a Spanish court ruling that stated migrants could only be pushed back immediately from
02:05entering Ceuta if they crossed a physical barrier specifying that anyone swimming to the enclave did
02:10not but the Spanish authorities were warned about the potential chaos here by trade unions representing
02:19those workers were seemingly completely ignored and also in terms of Morocco you can see the view there
02:28from the Moroccan justice minister that if Spain announces it is willing to receive all migrants
02:33why are we forcing people to jump the fences and throw themselves into the sea if you are going to
02:37receive them why are we stopping them they ask but the Moroccan authorities have actually taken action
02:43because you've seen the Moroccan police arresting at least 111 people when there was recently another
02:52attempt it seems to enter Ceuta illegally dozens of people detained mostly from sub-saharan Africa
03:01and you can see there one report in Morocco actually that 294 people had been detained but yeah it's
03:10not a good reflection really is it in terms of this crisis this chaos that's been going on and the
03:16warnings that clearly were given please do let me know your thoughts though on that in the comments
03:21below please do whack this video a quick thumbs up and of course as ever cheers for watching
