00:00a lot of warnings a lot of forecasts yeah through Wednesday Thursday and Friday
00:06today is Wednesday March 29th we started filming this video after the afternoon
00:13prayer before iftar and before sunset it's the sixth day of the blessed month
00:20of Ramadan which means it's March 29th and the Turkish authorities have started
00:26issuing strong warnings about storms heavy winds and possible floods that could
00:33affect several areas in Turkey this news carries a lot of significance and this
00:38episode contains important updates don't go anywhere we'll be back in a few
00:43seconds I'm traveling
00:49welcome everyone once again if this is your first time watching this channel or
00:54this program and you haven't subscribed to the channel yet please don't forget to

01:03the Turkish authorities have clearly warned of heavy rainfall across the entire
01:09country starting today Wednesday the Turkish meteorological department also
01:16warned of massive thunderstorms that could hit several areas in the country such as
01:22the Marmara Sea region and this reminds us of the Marmara fault and the
01:27anticipated earthquake in Istanbul they also warned about the Aegean Sea and it's
01:33known that small earthquakes hit areas like Izmir and others overlooking the
01:37Aegean Sea during the past two days and recently there was an earthquake a strong
01:42one yesterday or the day before yesterday and people went out into the streets and
01:47and also the Black Sea in northern Turkey and also the Mediterranean Sea meaning the Turkish
01:54cities overlooking the Mediterranean Sea by the way this warning also includes the Syrian
02:00cities overlooking the Mediterranean Sea which are Latakia and Tartus and it also includes the
02:07Lebanese cities overlooking the Mediterranean Sea that's why starting from these hours on Wednesday
02:14evening everyone we need to be very careful in some expected situations even the
02:22weather experts I saw analyzing this topic warned about it imagine they warned there
02:29could be waves reaching three or four meters high that might surge into cities along the
02:36Mediterranean coast many countries like Egypt have banned movement and maritime
02:40navigation on the Mediterranean Sea today I think in Syria they banned it too I'm not sure in Lebanon
02:47I'm not sure if they banned it in Turkey they also banned maritime movement today and according to
02:53weather experts and according to Ahmad al-Dira they say the waves could reach three to four meters
03:00and surge into cities so let's be careful today please everyone right now in fact heavy snowfall has
03:08already started in central areas while I'm recording this video the Black Sea regions are also experiencing
03:15heavy snowfall as well as Ankara Eskishehir Konya Kayseri Aksaray Kahraman or Kahraman Maraş and also
03:25Erzincan and many others for example in the well-known city of Eskishehir temperatures have already started to drop below
03:34minus 10 degrees and even at night or after sunset temperatures will reach below minus 15 degrees that
03:43means everything freezes and life comes to a halt even outside the houses just a few hours ago with the
03:51start of the storm or about an hour or two before this video was broadcast and and the very strong
03:58winds and the
03:58storm started in more than one area for example in Turkey do you see the picture unfortunately it fell
04:05right in front of you a mosque minaret and several house roofs were blown away due to the very strong
04:12winds in the city of Erzincan in Erzincan in Turkey Erzincan is also under warning and there were several
04:22earthquakes there and nearby during the past few days for example the Turkish authorities in the
04:29city of Adana which is far away Subhanallah I keep telling you for the past week or 10 days the
04:35same
04:36areas and most of the southern Turkish provinces the same areas hit by the Kahraman Maraş earthquake on
04:42February 6th were also struck by very strong storms especially Shanlıurfa which was hit by floods 10 days ago
04:49as well as Kahraman Maraş and several other areas in the country were affected too but the Turkish
04:55authorities reported that a huge number of houses were destroyed and a huge number were damaged but
05:01it's always the house that was damaged or the house that was partially collapsed you can't leave it if you
05:07want to rebuild you have to remove it you need to remove it so that none of the residents think
05:13about
05:13going back to the damaged house and trying to save whatever they can let me tell you there are people
05:19who have the courage even when their house is about to collapse or be destroyed they still have the
05:24courage to go upstairs and try to bring their belongings down from above unfortunately that's
05:31exactly what several Syrians did several Syrian citizens risked their lives to save whatever they
05:38could from their household belongings before the Turkish authorities discovered them as you can see in
05:44this video or on the screen unfortunately these are sad scenes i mean i don't know how these people
05:52risk their lives like this and go back up there no matter what your situation is tough you shouldn't
05:58risk your life and take such a gamble because of actions like these by Syrians or even some Turks for
06:05example the Turkish authorities in the city of Adana demolished at least four thousand housing units
06:12in just two days because they were severely or moderately damaged by the earthquakes and to prevent
06:19people from entering to protect their lives the state made this decision the Turkish government also
06:25announced that within a year it will rebuild all the damaged homes and hand them over to their owners
06:31on a side note maybe there is some good news so you don't say all our news is bad or
06:36that we never have
06:37anything positive for example today there is news about a 15 percent decrease in electricity prices in Turkey
06:45the Turkish government announced a reduction in electricity prices also the price of natural gas for
06:52industrial facilities has been reduced by 20 percent as well this is an encouragement from Turkey for
07:00industrialists and industrial institutions to increase production and to encourage them to continue in
07:07the industry and they give them certain exemptions which are reductions either in electricity or natural gas
07:12for companies and primarily for industrial institutions it will start from the beginning of next april
07:19electricity and gas for everyone electricity was reduced by 15 percent for all subscribers and for everyone
07:27but the natural gas given to industrial companies only was reduced by 20 percent starting from april
07:35by the way just a side note you know some of the laws in Turkey are strict and seem strange
07:42at the same
07:43time but we know the reason for them it's really surprising Turkey is a tourist city and having flowers beautiful
07:51flowers and rare flowers is very important and gives Turkey significant touristic value
07:58that's why we enforce strict laws on this matter for example a fine of 244 000 turkish lira was imposed
08:06which is about a quarter of a million lira or around 12 000 us dollars as a penalty for anyone
08:14who picks any of
08:16the following types of flowers be careful if you're in Turkey and if someone sees you picking a white lily
08:23that's a 12 000 fine horseshoe be careful wild garlic and bellflower these are four flowers you need to watch
08:35out for
08:35they're really strictly prohibited if someone sees you picking any of them you'll be in serious trouble
08:42in every sense of the word this is Ahmad al-Darrah ending the what did you see program take care
