Kelana Jaya line LRT services returned to normal at 10:25am on Thursday (Aug 13) after a power supply disruption stranded a train between Taman Jaya and University stations.

Rapid KL says affected passengers were safely transferred to a relief train under close supervision, with no injuries reported.

00:04stranded a train near University Station Thursday morning.
00:08Commuters caught the chaos on camera and shared it on threads.
00:12In a statement, Rapid KL says the power supply disruption at 9.28am
00:17left a train stranded between Taman Jaya and University stations.
00:21As a safety measure, passengers on board were transferred
00:24to a relief train stationed nearby before continuing their journey
00:28to the nearest station.
00:29Rapid KL says the transfer was carried out under close supervision
00:33and no injuries were reported.
00:36While repairs were underway,
00:38Rapid KL activated alternate train services from Putra Heights and Gombak
00:43terminating at Asia Jaya to help ease the impact on commuters.
00:47The affected train has since been withdrawn from service
00:50and taken to the depot for further inspection to determine the cause of the fault.
00:55Rapid KL apologised for the inconvenience caused and expressed appreciation
01:00to passengers for their patience and cooperation throughout the disruption.
01:03Services returned to normal at 10.25am with alternate train services discontinued.
