00:00They just came out with the first NFL coach fired markets yesterday, Tom.
00:05And, of course, Aaron Glenn and the Jets right up at the top there
00:09at a nice two-to-one price.
00:12Zach Taylor, Cincinnati, also hot seat.
00:15I think that's fair.
00:17Todd Bowles also in Tampa.
00:19I just feel like Todd Bowles is getting set up to fail, though.
00:22Do you not get that feeling here in Tampa Bay?
00:25Like, what are you?
00:26You're leaving.
00:27You can't sign the quarterback.
00:28He's got no quarterback.
00:29You've got no franchise quarterback.
00:30You've thoroughly done everything to make life miserable for Tampa Bay.
00:35It just feels like Tampa's getting this is a playthrough year.
00:39Fire everyone and hit the reset button.
00:42Mbuka, I believe, just got hurt earlier today as well in practice.
00:47Yeah, it's a really weird situation for Tampa.
00:51You think that a team that's had relative stability over the past few years,
00:55like they haven't been great since Brady left.
00:57If they can make the playoffs, they're always in contention to win the division.
01:02And now we have these reports coming out that, you know,
01:05Baker's not getting the contract or the offer that he wants.
01:08And he's saying, you know, once the season starts, he's going to wait until after the season.
01:11And Vita Veya is requesting a trade.
01:13They say they're not trading him.
01:15Mameka Buka, you know, got hurt earlier today at practice.
01:19You know, Mike Evans is gone.
01:21It's kind of all over the place.
01:23And I think the floor for the Bucs is really low.
01:27And they dealt with a lot of offensive line issues last year, a lot of injuries.
01:31Obviously, that's just the course of how things go in football.
01:33But I want to say the floor for them is real low.
01:35But also, if things go well, they can win that division.
01:39Well, they think that is a winnable division for them.
01:42The Saints, I think the Saints will be better than they were last year.
01:44I think the Panthers are not as good as they were last year.
01:47I mean, the Falcons can be interesting.
01:49But that's a winnable division for, like, three of those teams.
01:52Yet the Bucs could also end with, like, five or six wins.
01:55And it wouldn't shock me.
01:57I mean, the one position you need to lock up is quarterback.
02:02And the fact that you allowed that to get to the point where you're starting quarterback,
02:07who basically, have you not had him over the last couple of seasons,
02:11it would have been, you're not even in a conversation.
02:15But you allowed that to get to a point now, Tom,
02:18where you went into the preseason and camps with him just, you know,
02:23in front of a microphone ripping the air.
02:24Like, none of that is good at all here.
02:27I feel bad for Todd Bowles because I think the guy did a great job while he was there.
02:32But they are legit just setting him up to fail in a big, big way.
02:38And I thought, too, it was funny.
02:40When the odds came out, I was always interested.
02:43All right, so who is the, who's untouchable?
02:45Like, who's got the longest odds to be the first coach fired here?
02:50And I thought for sure it would have been one of the new, like, the new head coach.
02:55But the new head coaches aren't it.
02:57Joe Brady, Jesse Minter.
02:59Yeah, no.
03:00They're in the same price category as Andy Reid.
03:03So anything is possible there.
03:05But there's only two guys that are untouchable, according to the markets,
03:09that will not be fired or the first one to be fired anytime soon.
03:13And it's not that hard to figure out.
03:15Who do you think one of them is, Tom?
03:19Well, who's got the most positive vibes going for him?
03:23You know, you just won a Super Bowl.
03:25You're going to be good for a couple years.
03:27Right?
03:27Even if they make the playoffs, you lose in the first round.
03:31Honestly, even if they don't make the playoffs, the Seattle Seahawks were probably about to Mike McDonnell.
03:35You say, listen, we dealt with injuries this year.
03:38It was a super tough.
03:39It was this.
03:39It was that.
03:39The other thing.
03:40Blah, blah, blah.
03:41Like, listen, we'll be back to it next year.
03:42It's him.
03:43And I would say Andy Reid has to be in that same category.
03:46Like, there's nothing that Andy Reid can do that would set him up to be fired.
03:52I just don't see no world.
03:54As long as Mahomes is there, Andy Reid will be there as well.
03:58I'm with you.
04:00And Andy Reid and John Harbaugh in that same price range, like $200, $250 to $1.
04:06The other guy that's $500 to $1 with McDonald is Sean McVay.
04:11He's another guy that likely will not be going.
04:14I think McVay and McDonald are good to go.
04:18The guy that currently has a job that has been there, that is, Vrabel, is almost $12 to $1.
04:26Vrabel is not losing his job anytime soon unless something else comes up.
04:30But I doubt that very much.
04:33Shane Steichen is the guy that has the most tenure right now that looks like he's single digits.
04:39You know, 8-1, somewhere in that ballpark there.
04:42Shane Steichen is not on the hot seat, is he?
04:44I mean, Ballard should be.
04:46The GM should be on the hot seat for Indiana.
04:48I don't think Shane Steichen should be.
04:52It's just that I think it's because the Colts are just swimming in mediocrity.
04:56It's like, yeah, they're good enough to have seven, eight, nine wins.
04:59Maybe they make the playoffs.
05:00I don't think they'll be terrible.
05:01I don't think they'll be a two-win team.
05:03But, you know, how long can you keep going through this?
05:05Like, yeah, we're fine.
05:07Like, again, they're in a somewhat winnable division.
05:10You know, that's the issue that I have with some of these teams and the coaches.
05:13Like, they're just okay.
05:15And some ownership groups like that.
05:17It's like, hey, if you get us to nine wins, we can be in the mix.
05:19It's like, oh, are we going to be in the playoff team this year?
05:21And, like, that sells tickets.
05:23Therefore, they like that.
