00:00Other news here today, not great news coming out of the Baltimore Ravens campus.
00:04Their starting quarterback, Nate Wiggins, carted off earlier today, did not look good.
00:11They still haven't really given us a whole lot of, you know, reports about it.
00:18But I can tell you this, judging from all the replays, does not look good.
00:22Now, he was a first-round pick just a couple of years ago.
00:25He started 23 games over the last two seasons.
00:28All 17 last year.
00:30I mean, he was, you know, he was actually a mainstay back there.
00:34And he was going to be a big part of what Jesse Minter and that defense was going to do.
00:38Man, if he's down for any extended amount of time, that's here we go again with these preseason injuries.
00:44And this could take a bite out of that Ravens defense.
00:49It can.
00:50And we're seeing this across the league with injuries starting to pile up for offensive linemen,
00:55for Washington defense, you name it.
00:58And this is going to impact a lot of things.
00:59You know, for a defense that was pretty banged up last year, and I'm going to say it looks to
01:04be a good defense,
01:05but not a great defense, you know, I have to be wondering what this – how does this impact their
01:10offense?
01:10Does this turn them into more of a shootout type of offense just because their defense is going to be
01:15so thin
01:15as it at times was last year where they're going to have to score to keep up?
01:19Combined with the new coaching regime, there's a lot of – there's a lot of outcomes for the Ravens that
01:25don't turn out well.
01:26There's a wide range of outcomes just because there's too much on his plate.
01:29You know, first-year head coach with Lamar.
01:32The expectations are so high.
01:33The injuries are piling up.
01:34You know, we could be looking at a 7-8 win team that is just good, but they're nowhere near
01:39the playoffs
01:40in a very tough division and a very just conference overall simply just to make it.
01:45Yeah, we also learned here, but they do have some depth, by the way, at the cornerback position,
01:51but he's their best, by far the best cover corner, and if you're going to lose him for any extent
01:56of time,
01:57you know, Marlon Humphrey is not going to replace him.
01:59That's just not – they're not even on the same level there.
