00:00Hello everyone. I'm afraid I've been off the grid for a couple of days because as some of you may
00:05know, I suffered a major medical meltdown at the beginning of the week.
00:10When we were in Liverpool, I managed to pick up an infection which went straight to my chest. It affected
00:16my breathing very badly and as some of you may know, I do suffer from asthma.
00:21And on Wednesday evening when I was about to go on and dance the cha-cha-cha, I'm afraid the
00:28infection triggered a serious asthma attack.
00:33And when I started to dance, I stopped breathing basically, which was all a bit scary, not just for me
00:40but for Kai as well because I was a bit like a rag doll on the dance floor.
00:44Sorry, Liverpool. And I think Kai wasn't really quite sure what was happening.
00:49But fortunately, we always have paramedics in the arenas when we perform and when I came off, they gave me
00:55oxygen so I was able to breathe again and also make the trip to Leeds.
01:01But once I got to Leeds, the company doctor was very, very firm.
01:06He said that the infection was a lot worse than I thought. I had to have two days bed rest,
01:11no dancing.
01:12And he put me on a very impressive regime of medication.
01:17Well, we're now in Manchester and I'm very happy to say that I think, I mean, the company has been
01:21marvellous and the pills have certainly worked their magic.
01:26And so I can't say I'm fighting fit, but I'm certainly dancing fit.
01:32And so I'm ready to start ripping up the dance floor again on the tour, starting right here tonight in
01:40Manchester.
01:40So thank you to everyone for all the wonderful messages of support that you've sent me.
01:45And I think that those lovely messages and the pills really have worked their magic, which means I'd better go
01:53and find Kai.
01:53I haven't seen him for 48 hours and we've got work to do.
01:57See you soon.
01:58See you soon.
