00:16Hi, I'm Danny Murphy. I'm Evan Real. And part one of this Atlanta reunion,
00:21honestly, was very funny and also dramatic. Like, it hit every box. It really was so
00:25entertaining from start to finish. I was having the best time ever, and it looks like Andy was
00:29having the best time ever. When he gave, when he made everybody give a round of applause for
00:34Drew's director board, and then when he ended up using the director board, it was just, it was
00:41heaven. But there was a lot that got unpacked this part one, and now I'm understanding, I mean,
00:47I was like, okay, three-part reunions, those always are a little extra intense. I see why,
00:51because there's a lot to uncover. We were kind of saying, Kay and Portia started off full,
01:00and got, I think they got to a good place.
01:03Yeah, it seems like they're on the right trajectory. They really had to hash it out,
01:07and I think that, for me, what I saw was just like a severe level of misunderstanding. I think
01:13that both of them, in the deepest parts of their souls and spirits, they do want to get along,
01:19and they do want to be friends. But unfortunately, I think for, I think what happened is Kay Michelle
01:24just was unsure of how to navigate the housewives experience, and I think maybe she got in her head,
01:30she got a little bit paranoid, and I know that we have yet to unpack the plotting of it all.
01:34We're going to probably get to that in part two, hopefully, because I really do want to hear more
01:38from Kay Michelle about why she thought people were plotting against her. But just from the way
01:41that Portia was responding to her, and the whole situation with that ex, and the man,
01:46and this and that, I think Portia genuinely didn't want any beef with Kay Michelle. I think
01:51that she just wanted to get to know her, and I hope that throughout this reunion experience,
01:55Kay slowly starts to understand that, and I hope that they can get to a better place.
01:59Andy was on threads answering fans' questions, and someone asked,
02:02do you think that after the reunion, Shamia and Portia will get to a better place,
02:06and Portia and Kay Michelle? Like, thoughts on those two different dynamics? And he was like,
02:10Shamia and Portia, highly doubtful, maybe with a lot of time, but he said that he felt really
02:15hopeful about Portia and Kay Michelle getting to a good spot. So, my fingers are crossed. I have
02:21high hopes for them. It's crazy, because that's how Kay Michelle came into this group. She was
02:25introduced to Portia, but that is a thing that happens a lot in housewives. It's like,
02:29the girl who introduces you, this is a girl you end up fighting with.
02:32I know, but it is also, I feel, you were saying there was miscommunication, I think,
02:37because Kay has said that she's famously a girl on Twitter.
02:40Yeah.
02:41And that is kind of just where her happy place is.

02:45Well, happy place. It's her place. It's her spot.

02:48But I think she was tweeting a lot, especially about the miscarriage comment Portia made,
02:55and I think what helped Portia get some more understanding was that Kay Michelle was using it
03:02sort of as a confessional moment, like just speaking to the world versus, like, targeting.

03:08Because I think, I think that's where they kind of got, Portia was like, why are you attacking
03:12me so much? And Kay was more so, I'm just speaking of my experience with that.

03:16And Andy did tell her, don't go on, don't be online.

03:23Can I give you a piece of advice?

03:28Which I think is helpful. Probably good advice, and Kay seems to be receptive of it.
03:32And also helpful, I think, was Portia explaining more of her side of that whole story, the miscarriage
03:38of it all when she mentioned that, because, you know, Portia's been through a miscarriage.
03:43Yeah, Playa's a rainbow baby, she said.
03:44Yeah, Playa's a rainbow baby, and so I don't think she would ever intentionally, like, trivialize
03:49that or try and, like, use that against someone. I think it just, like, naturally came from
03:53her heart, and she was like, wait, is that what that was?

03:56Because she didn't know what was going to be said next. She had no idea that it was, like,
04:00leaky silicone.
04:01I know.
04:02So her, because it was a terrible situation, and I think that's the energy that Kay Michelle
04:08brought to the table when she was explaining it, like, oh, my God, I had this thing happening
04:12where my body was leaking. Her first thought, Portia's first thought probably wasn't, like,
04:16oh, leaky silicone. She was like, oh, maybe there was, like, a different kind of medical
04:19emergency, one that I've already been through, because Portia can't relate to the leaky
04:22silicone situation.
04:24No, I'm also, I'm such a sentence finisher, too, where I'm, like, I was, like, because I
04:27feel sometimes people do that because they want to show that you're really involved in
04:31the conversation, where it's like, oh, we're on the same wavelength, and then, but sometimes
04:34when it's not right, it's not right, and this was a moment of that.
04:37Wait, speaking of the leaky silicone, though, apparently the dude who did-
04:41Oh, does celebrities.
04:42Kay Michelle's leaky silicone does famous people and is still doing it, and he's not board
04:45certified, and he's just doing it under the table, and I can't believe that people like
04:50Kay Michelle, who are so vocal about their situation, and obviously she's not putting this
04:53person on blast and not using a name, but I'm pretty sure amongst Atlanta, they know
04:57who this person is. If you know what's happening to Kay Michelle, which she's been
05:01very open about, not just on this show, but on, like, a previous show where she-
05:04She did a whole plastic surgery show on Lifetime, I believe.
05:07Like, where she walks people through their regrets and stuff.
05:10Yeah, of, like, bad surgeries and everything.
05:12Yeah, so it's like, if you know that this is the journey you could eventually take, why
05:16are you still going to this man for the leaky silicone?
05:18I wonder, is she not naming them because she- would you get in trouble?
05:21I don't know.
05:22Could he sue?
05:23Potentially, maybe.
05:24And then it's also, like, I think what he's doing is highly illegal.
05:27If you're not board certified, you can't perform those surgeries, so I don't know if she's,
05:32like, I don't know why she would try to, like, save him from, you know, legal shit.
05:38Speaking of the leaking, Drew did make her little comment.

06:38And then Kelly said, the only thing I've had done is my boobs, and then Drew told her to
06:41get them undone.

06:43So a lot was said about the bodies.
06:45I know, yeah, a lot was said about the bodies, but yeah, Kelly has said that she has not
06:49partaken a lot of it besides the boobs.
06:50And I guess the teeth, which also we saw her man.

06:54And they hard launched on Insta together, too.

06:56I'm happy for her.
06:58Now she can finally, like, love him out loud.
07:00No, she was having a lot of drama with Portia and Angela.

07:05And now that, as a tag team, we haven't really seen that as a tag team in action until this
07:09reunion, I feel.
07:10That's a powerful force.
07:11And for Kelly to even go up against him is very courageous of her.

07:16And when, because also my favorite is Angela's like, worry about Greg, who is suing her.
07:20And then everyone's like, who's Greg?
07:22And Portia's like, exactly, yes.
07:23I was like, I'm like, is this also another thing with love from Angela?
07:27Is she really being sued from Greg or is Angela just saying it?
07:30Because she has admitted to just kind of like making things up, which we honestly do in
07:34a way love about Angela.
07:35Let her be, let her do an improv scene in the Pinky Cole scripted series.
07:39Which congratulations to your pregnancy.

07:42We're very happy for you, Pinky.
07:43That's so exciting.
07:44Even though your mom didn't want you to have another baby.
07:45But, you know, every baby is a blessing and I'm sure mama feels good about it now.
07:49Speaking of the moms, Portia talking about how supportive her mom is of her and Sway was
07:54really beautiful.
07:55When she was getting all teary-eyed about it, like that was so, so sweet.
07:59She said she was really happy for me.
08:01And for her to take the time and say, I also love this side of you and I support it.
08:07If you ever even wanted to marry, I was like, wow.
08:10Truly, happy pride, Portia.
08:11And I mean that with love in my heart.
08:13I know Andy meant it with love in his heart too.
08:15I know.
08:16I know that is, we're curious if the happy pride comment is going to make its way in
08:21other parts of the reunion because it seems like it was a big moment.

08:27It got some pickup of our thoughts on it, which I did not know until I was Googling it
08:31today.
08:31Um, and then I was seeing, cause that's what Shami had to talk to us about it at the ultimate
08:36girls trip party.
08:37She did.
08:38She doubled down.
08:39She said that she, she told me that she really meant it and maybe she did, but even when she
08:46repeated it during part one of the reunion, it still wasn't said with what I didn't see
08:53or interpret it to be, uh, a truly joyful, happy pride.
08:58It felt, it felt like there was still shade there.
09:00But what I do think is, is that I don't think that Shamiya is inherently homophobic, right?
09:05And I've been like very vocal about how, when she initially said it, I said that it was kind
09:08of like giving homophobia.
09:09I do not think that Shamiya is homophobic.
09:11I know that she loves and supports the community and she's, you know, we've interviewed her before
09:16the season, very sweet with us, very kind with like, I honestly, I'm a big Shamiya fan.
09:21It's just that comment really did hurt me.
09:24I think because I thought I knew her and I was like, Oh, like if you can't even like see
09:28how
09:29that could be interpreted as homophobic or how like a gay person could see that as a
09:33little bit offensive.
09:34That's, that's where I struggle, but I don't think it's because she's homophobic.
09:38I think that when she says it in the way that she says it, which doesn't seem to be super
09:42kind and super loving, it's because she just at this point in her life doesn't f*** with
09:46Portia.
09:47So how can she, she just can't genuinely say something nice to her because they're just
09:51like not getting along.
09:53They really are not.
09:54And even Andy did ask her to like, with everything not going on with you and Portia, are you
10:00happy that she does have the supportive love?
10:02Right.
10:02And she mentioned that she did, which like it was very sweet to see from Shamiya.
10:06And that like makes me honestly feel better after you say something like happy pride in
10:09a way that I did not interpret as a kind way of saying it to, to hear your real thoughts
10:13about her finding love with a woman independent of where your relationship is at with Portia,
10:19which is like not in a great place.
10:20That was like nice to hear.

10:22What would have been nice to hear during the season is that Phaedra dated Mike.

11:17Well, to understand more of the lore about why there was a little bit of tension, it's
11:21because Shamia's close with Candy and Candy's friends who don't like Kay Michelle, they
11:26were a part of the crew who were saying, oh, don't be friends with her.
11:28Don't be friends with her.
11:29We all thought it was like the other girls, like in the actual cast, but it was really
11:33more about Candy's circle of friends, which does complicate things.
11:37It makes things really complicated just because the layers of like Candy and Phaedra too.
11:43And it's just like, it's a lot going on.

11:45And also because Candy, like we know as well, but like who in her orbit fully and Shamia
11:51and Candy are close.
11:52So.

12:26And obviously it was like taking aim at Rashida and making a dig at how maybe not iconic she
12:31is.
12:32When we asked Kay Michelle about that, she was like, I didn't like that.
12:35That was mean, which says a lot about Kay Michelle's character.
12:37I think that Kay Michelle struggles with like being like fierce and combative, but like
12:44she truly is just like a sweet, soft, like.
