00:09you've joined us just as we've heard further details about the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral
00:13on Saturday at St George's Chapel in Windsor. Emily firstly what can you tell us about the
00:18main part of the service? Well the main service is starting at 3pm but actually the ceremonial
00:23element of the event will begin an hour earlier when we'll start to see the military representatives
00:29associated with regiments close to the Duke out on the quadrangle. We will then see at 2.40pm the
00:36Duke's coffin draped with his personal standard and bearing his naval cap and sword and a wreath of
00:43flowers emerge from the state entrance. At that moment it will be loaded onto a Land Rover that's
00:48been specially modified according to designs by the Duke himself and the procession will step off as
00:55they say in military parlance. Bringing up the rear of the procession will be the Queen herself who's
01:00accompanied by a lady-in-waiting for the journey to the chapel in her Bentley. When the funeral cortege
01:06arrives in Horseshoe Cloyster the Queen we understand will be driven alongside the coffin. Once the coffin
01:13has been carried partway up the west steps there will be a minute's silence and it will be received
01:19by the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Dean of Windsor. The doors of the chapel will open, members
01:25of the royal family will form in procession behind the coffin and the service will begin.
01:31Now we know only 30 royals can be in attendance at the service Emily so who's confirmed to attend?
01:37So we have confirmed to attend a cross-section of the Duke's family from his children, some of his
01:43grandchildren to some distant relatives from Germany who he stayed close to throughout the years. This
01:50is two great nephews and a cousin. The great nephews are the grandsons of two of his sisters, Margarita
01:57and Theodora. It's very touching that these German relatives have been invited and it was definitely
02:02at Duke's request. You know many years ago his family were not invited to the royal wedding when he
02:08married Princess Elizabeth and that was because of the very recent war against Germany and the fact
02:13that they had married into the German aristocracy. It wasn't considered to be good for the royal
02:19family's reputation at the time. As you'd expect all the senior members of the royal family are going to
02:24be present as well as extended family members so we will see quite a cross-section of the people closest
02:30to
02:31the Duke. We understand that some members of the royal family will be taking part in the procession,
02:35what can you tell us about that? Of course the Duke's four children will be taking part in the
02:40procession so we have the Prince of Wales and the Princess Royal. Behind them will be the Duke of York
02:45and the Earl of Wessex and then Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence bringing up the rear of the royal party
02:50and then behind that really touchingly are six members of the Duke's household. So we have two
02:55ballots, two pages, his private secretary Archie Miller Bakewell and his personal protection officer and
03:02these are people who spent a great deal of time with him in recent years. There's been a lot of
03:07talk
03:07about whether the royals will wear military uniform on the day, what can you tell us about that Emily?
03:12So today we've had confirmation that members of the royal family will be either wearing morning coat
03:16with medals or day dress for the women and the Queen has obviously taken the decision that everyone
03:21should be dressed in the same way. Usually members of the royal family with military associations do wear
03:28uniform at royal funerals but on this occasion we know that it would have been a difficult moment for
03:34Prince Harry because he has recently stepped down as a royal and lost his military appointments so he's
03:41no longer entitled to wear uniform and of course then there's a question mark over the Duke of York who's
03:45also stepped away from his public duties but has military associations. It's an eloquent solution to the
03:53problem is one way that it's been described today. Everyone will just be in normal clothing.
03:58And will members of the public be able to watch the funeral this weekend?
04:02Members of the public will be able to watch the funeral on all the national broadcast channels and of course
04:08if they

04:14from Windsor on the day but people are being encouraged not to go to royal residences to watch from home
04:19instead.
04:20And we're very much with the understanding that this funeral is in line with the Duke's wishes
04:24and is sure to be a celebration of his extraordinary life.
