00:36Fully funding our warriors would be one last great accomplishment for Colonel Lindsey Graham and a major part of his

00:44And I believe that he will continue here and around the world to inspire airmen for generations to come.
00:50And I say around the world because, as was mentioned, those gray tails that say Charleston.
00:54Now, when they land in far-flung places, we'll say Graham.
00:58The world will remember that name.
01:01Lindsey retired as a colonel from the Air Force Reserves in June 2015, not by choice, but because Air Force
01:08policy required it.
01:10He had aged out.
01:1133 years of honorable service spread across active duty, the Air National Guard, and the Air Force Reserves.
01:19It was sometimes hard to tell if Lindsey was a senator who happened to serve in the Air Force or
01:25an Air Force lawyer who happened to serve in the Senate.
01:28Such was his love for both.
01:31That's the man this base is named after.
01:34A man who loved his country, loved his state, and loved the United States Air Force.
01:40I could not be more honored or humbled for him to be recognized in such a fashion for his lifetime
01:48of service.
