00:52been scrapped it is seemingly not happening anymore and that match is cody rhodes versus drew nope
01:00cody rhodes versus roman reigns uh no longer happening so it had you know nothing has been uh
01:06set in stone by wwe as in they've not announced anything yeah wrestlemania 42 yet but there was
01:13some heavy reporting from the observer uh a lot going uh back a couple of weeks saying that wwe were
01:19maybe thinking about completing the trilogy yeah the wrestlemania trilogy of roman reigns and cody rhodes
01:24now it seems this is off this is according to dave again so he initially had the intel that it
01:30was
01:30happening now he's got the intel that it's probably not happening plans change plans change pal
01:35uh on wrestling observer radio uh dave melzer stated that wwe have decided to pivot away from that match
01:41uh following the decision to put the wwe championship around the waist of uh drew mcintyre
01:48now uh dave says he doesn't know the new plans for these gentlemen um but it's probably not happening
01:56cody and cody and roman um a triple threat match might be on the cards instead uh drew cody and
02:02jacob fought too we spoke about that yesterday didn't we a little bit uh and it is also possible
02:08that roman versus cody takes place some other time yes some other date we did say that when we first
02:13talked about it didn't we yeah indeed it's also possible that that triple threat match happens before
02:18mania yeah so i saw some rumblings from other places online this morning about punk and roman
02:24for the other title the world heavyweight title um which then leaves the question of what does drew do
02:30where do you go with that who does he face uh does he end up just facing uh cody in
02:36a straight up
02:36rematch does he even get to mania with the title well this is it this is it i think uh
02:41it's a tough
02:42situation for him um i saw the report as well from i believe it was fightful talking about how
02:48uh ww kind of felt that drew like had to win this one because so he could be seen as
02:53a top guy still
02:53which which i get he had been beaten like a drum uh by cody and by punk really in their
02:59feud too yeah
02:59um but yeah there you go doesn't look like cody versus roman is happening for me that's a bit
03:05disappointing because i mean it would be your guaranteed blockbuster mania spectacular yeah
03:10but i'm eager to see what they've got that could replace it yeah i agree i'm kind of conflicted
03:14on this like you say uh cody roman 3 is almost guaranteed to be sensational and they were almost
03:20guaranteed to play with the dynamics somewhat obviously considering the previous two so
03:24would have been interesting to see how they do that like you say it's not off the cards completely
03:27but yeah maybe they're saving it for summer slap let's just say off the top of our heads but
03:31um i'm also kind of excited by this i just really like from the moment obviously drew on that title
03:37um it just felt like things have been shaken up within wwe you know you had the you had the
03:43punk
03:43bron thing at the start of last week and it felt like right here we go there's the plan that
03:49we've all
03:49heard and talked about and what have you and and there it's going to be on the other side and
03:53and
03:53it's kind of fairly easy to plot through through the royal rumble and elimination chamber how we're
03:59it's anyone's guess and i like that i like not knowing what's going on at the start of january
04:05it's sometimes it's nice to look forward cody for example for wrestlemania 4 you were like they
04:10kind of have to do this yeah but they almost didn't but um i really like the the unpredictability
04:16it feels like they have somewhat listened to the criticisms of wwe in 2025 of the predictability and
04:23the sort of drawn out feuds and what have you and gone let's do something different this year
04:27who knows what that's going to be uh whether punk is going to get his night two main event who

04:32um but yeah i just i'm excited to see what that's going to happen in the coming months there's also
04:37sammy's endad to exactly yeah um so maybe sammy and drew for the for the big onion for the big

04:44big carrot yeah i mean they could do that they could do that as soon as the royal rumble it

04:48be quite a clever way of keeping sammy out of the rumble if he's not winning it yeah it's having
04:52him win at saturday night's main event in montreal by the way and then go to saudi arabia and
04:57fight for the title so it may be a short reign for drew yeah i mean sammy versus ko that

05:06um but i i just really like the the fact that we are sat here mid january going and what's

05:40not deadlining it's what it's not what triple h does it's not like they had one of the best
05:44matches of last year at wrestlemania yeah it's not like they had the best match at wrestlemania
05:48last year uh by some margin actually like love love that match yeah um but let's switch over to tna
05:56big week for them of course the amc debut tomorrow night and they are having a week as well they

06:02they are tna in the hell out this week aren't they andy what's going on here so leon slater one

06:07the most talented guys they've got someone who wb kind of already got their claws into let's be
06:10perfectly honest ex-division champion he was all set for a big marquee match on this television debut
06:15and then people have noticed in the recent last few days uh that match has disappeared from the
06:21advertising and people were saying guys what are you doing there was speculation i thought whether
06:26um wwe wanted leon slater for the british leg of their tour which might screw up those sort of plans
06:31for tna but actually a brilliant report from mike johnson pw insider says it's actually that side of
06:36the match that has been affected here um because a top tna act the rascals are done with tna
06:43uh it was going to be leon slater versus myron reed of the rascals on thursday night good match that
06:50was
06:50quietly removed from social media good news is if you're a fan of leon slater he's still being
06:54advertised as like being a part of the show just not in this match and that is because yeah um
06:59the
06:59rascals are done with tna um zachary wentz and trey miguel their deals expired at the end of 2025
07:05and tna did not option uh to continue that deal for another year myron reed who was going to be
07:11in
07:11the match lists on his social media that he is a free agent now and desmond xavier formerly wesley
07:16uh wasn't signed with the promotion it was obviously just bringing it back for presumably a
07:21last hurrah for the rascals in tna um multiple tna sources declined to comment on their status
07:27uh they're still listed on the roster so that's slightly more promising um but the belief of the
07:32pw insider is the fact that they are done basically uh anything can happen obviously things can change
07:37uh but i saw some people speculating whether or not the rascals could head to aw perhaps yeah i mean
07:43if i'm tony can uh i'm debuting them tonight um funny i'm debuting them i'm i'm doing the petty move

08:51people i like in tna there's a lot of people i i have had really good dealings with in tna
08:55and i
08:55continue to do so what's going on what's going on right because they've just they've just scored
09:00this new tv deal which uh this is a revenue source it's a bigger platform and all of this stuff
09:06and
09:06yeah the moves they are making are not that of a company that's growing they're of a company that's
09:11cutting costs yeah they have opted not to renew the rascals contracts great really entertaining
09:16group by the way really fun group right what yeah yeah you know i mean i'm really struggling
09:24to comprehend what's going on here uh this feels like cost cutting rather than expansion
09:29hopefully santana wins the world title back for example and aj styles is going to be on the show
09:34so they're doing stuff bully ray's commentating the main event so i didn't say all good stuff
09:39uh they're doing stuff for this amc debut but it still doesn't feel like a you know a marquee
09:44thing to launch on amc in like 60 million homes or whatever it is yeah and i i i don't
09:49think the
09:49pr blitz that matt hardy is embarking on at the moment is great either i don't know i ask michael
09:56sidrick for his thoughts on that one yes dude um i don't know i just wish this week felt a

11:00on thursday night and talking about it on friday so i hope it's good but best look to the rascals

11:57but he i'll read it to you i'll just kind of old school he's a he's a bit of an

12:09he loves a motorbike cm punk but he said this i share the sentiment with a few guys on the

12:27an interview for it and i kept saying no no i'm not gonna be there uh and we never did

12:33so i don't know if that means i'm not in not in it but i also like there's a camera

13:47you're someone else i'm uh i think i liked wwe unreal season one more than most in this office
13:53but i can still see the drawbacks of it and arguably one of the best bits of it was the

13:58stuff actually yeah where you see that intimate conversation ahead of elimination chamber and then
14:02laying out the finish with the stomp and the scene to win obviously um yeah i agree with punk as

14:08in terms of like i really like the humanizing element of it all like i think back to like
14:13chronicle for example of just like oh this is what a day-to-day wrestler's life is or a
14:18a 365 or whatever it might be i think i like that aspect more and just like when stuff's being
14:24how can i put this when stuff's happening for the first time um in front of you i kind of
14:28prefer to
14:29look in the background what's going on over there yeah but um yeah i'm gonna watch it
14:34yeah a week yesterday i'll probably skip season two i did i enjoyed watching season one i know why
14:40though but because he bloody got tricked by the old oh yeah i got worked by seth rollins in this
14:45like i was the last person to figure it out um i'll probably skip season two just because so much

14:51it is based on the the fake injury that nobody fell for but they're gonna do a whole season trying

17:58got sally grace a social media sports influencer and a vlogger and snowboarder who goes by the name
18:04of elissa danielle best of luck to all of them yeah interesting uh list um obviously can't really
18:10say much about the surfer and the the the gymnastic like the people we've never heard of before
18:17i saw a picture of bros hamilton and was like yep this guy's freaking huge yeah it's the year of

18:31young and i think that he is someone they'll definitely pick up um he just fits the the
18:36modern kind of wwe developmental mold to a t uh he's really good um he i don't know if maybe

18:49the centerpiece of uh deadlock uh uh pro before it kind of shattered in december he's the most he's

19:01fantastic and if wwe doesn't pick him up as a result of this tryout they are literally the stupidest

19:13into wwe they'll get new names and all of this stuff anyway so the the version that they are at

19:18moment will not be the one that turns up on tv but you'd fancy them to pick up a bunch
