00:05Hola hola I'm Jovita Trujillo and we are here at the iconic Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles
00:10officially launching the countdown to MLB all-star week. It'll be the second midsummer classic that
00:24the Dodgers have hosted in more than 40 years. The last one was in 1980 and the stadium will
00:29actually be celebrating its 60th anniversary this year so mark your calendars for all-star week and
00:34get ready. We are here with Jaime Jarin who is entering his 64th season as a Spanish-language
00:41broadcaster for Dodgers Stadium. How are you feeling going into your final season? I will miss the
00:48fans. I will miss the fans because to me the most important thing in the overall game is the roar
00:55of
00:55the people. When they react to a home run, to a triple, to a stolen base, it is fantastic. I
01:03am
01:03going to miss the roar of the people. And I've heard so many people say thank you and talked about
01:08their
01:09grandparents, their kids, their tios. What's been the most memorable compliment that you've heard over
01:14your career when it comes to how you've impacted someone's life? You know I have been very fortunate
01:18to receive many many accolades but what really reaches my heart is when I am walking, I am going
01:25to the supermarket, to the bank, to the post office, people stop me and say Mr. Jarin I'm sorry to
01:33stop
01:33you but I want to congratulate you but at the same time I want to thank you because thanks to
01:40you I
01:41spend more time with my grandfather. My father took me to the back of the house to hear your broadcasts,
01:47my mother fell in love with your voice during the games. So that's what really really reaches me.
