1,400 athletes join IRONMAN in Cebu  Around 1,400 athletes from 48 countries took part in the 12th IRONMAN 70.3 Lapu-Lapu Cebu, which Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Ma. Cynthia “Cindi” King-Chan described as a successful hosting for the city. King-Chan said the race proceeded without recorded untoward incidents despite the challenging current during the swim. The athletes completed a 1.9-kilometer swim, 90-kilometer bike course and 21.1-kilometer run. The mayor said the city is excited to host the event again next year.
