00:44To be able to do a photo shoot with Rita is a dream come true, because I've always wanted to

00:48and I've never been able to. And I remember seeing West Side Story for the first time and going,
00:53oh my gosh, she looks like me. And I think that's really important for all of us to
00:57celebrate and honor her achievements, because we wouldn't be here if she hadn't knocked down that door.
01:04Rita Moreno, what can I tell you? Since I was a child and watched her on Electric Company,
01:09that I thought, there's a Latina on Electric Company. That's, yeah, we're getting there.
01:13She was the first EGOT winner, the first human being that won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar,
01:18and a Tony, and did it in the shortest amount of time, in 14 years.
01:23She's a woman that is to be looked up to.
01:27Gloria has been my mentor for years. I've always looked up to Gloria.
01:31She's been such an activist role model. Everything that she does for our community,
01:38politically, with charities, philanthropically, she's just such an amazing human to emulate.
