00:04okay thank you very much we have a few subjects that we're going to discuss all important but
00:10one in particular important having to do with birthright citizenship and will if you would
00:16maybe you could start it off with what howard's going to be discussing so a short while ago sir
00:23you signed an order relating to the polysilicon industry this is a series of trade and tax
00:29tariff actions under section 232 intended to ensure that domestic polysilicon manufacturing
00:37is properly supported and protected from overseas dumping and offshore threats howard can speak
00:43more to the details but polysilicon is incredibly important in the chip making industry and a
00:48number of other industries as well and like many of your previous trade actions sir this
00:53is intended to ensure that we're on-shoring manufacturing capacity that we're on-shoring
00:59our own supply of critical products and that we're protecting american industry from malign foreign
01:05actors in that space
01:06thank you so polysilicon is sort of the foundational product that makes silicon
01:13wafers that become the ai chips and the chips that are in our phones and everything so the president's
01:22policies have brought 50 percent of production into america but we need the foundational products made
01:29here otherwise you know we're making the products here but we need the supply chain here so this will bring
01:34the supply chain here we're setting prices so that the chinese can't dump anymore and we're setting
01:40tariffs to say build it here we've got the industry here it's too small and it's going to explode under
01:46your leadership and we're having massive numbers of uh i guess you call them factories or plants built
01:54having to do with the manufacturing of chips more than we've ever had before uh intel we're very proud of
02:01they've done incredible they've really been an incredible company but we're doing uh some
02:08unbelievable business uh chips will have a big percentage of the chip business by the time i leave
02:12office which could be a long time who knows but it could also be fairly quick they say two and
02:19a half
02:19years we're going to find out but i just want to say that it's an honor to have worked with
02:24a very smart
02:24group of people and we're bringing the chip business back into the united states in a very big way
02:29jameson do you have anything to say about that sir i i think you need to put this in the
02:33context of
02:34everything else that's happening manufacturing productivity is the highest it's been in years
02:39we haven't seen any growth like this uh for forever under president biden uh the last part of his
02:45presidency he lost 220 000 manufacturing jobs the president has stabilized this now the manufacturing
02:51jobs are going up so all of these indicators on manufacturing are happening and it's because of
02:56tariffs it's because of trade actions it's because of the investment credits you've given people
03:01the tax credits everything you're doing the energy policy all of it is bringing manufacturing back
03:06here protecting american workers and american jobs well tariffs are bringing us hundreds of billions of
03:11dollars worth of dollars i mean just money the money that we've never seen anything like it with no
03:18inflation by the way everyone said oh there'll be inflation we're very low inflation we've brought inflation
03:23way down i inherited the worst inflation in the history of our country they say 48 years but i say
03:29the history of our country and from the biden administration and we're bringing it way down so uh
03:36the numbers that of of i mean beyond the money being brought in the number of factories being built
03:43in our country is more now than we have ever seen before there's never been anything like it and uh
03:50you're going to see the results and you're seeing the results already in construction jobs because
03:54they're being built all over the country but uh in another year as they start to open uh there's never
04:00been we call it the golden age of america and that's what it is now if we could talk uh
04:05steve maybe you
04:06could discuss what we're dealing with on birthright citizenship we had a very unfortunate decision in the
04:13supreme court concerning birthright it was close but a very very unfortunate decision uh so we're uh
04:21making adjustments because it's very unfair this was done for a different reason this was done right
04:27after the civil war this was for the babies of slaves and uh what's happening now if people are building
04:36businesses around it from wealthy people are building businesses around birthright citizenship that's not the
04:42where it's supposed to work it's a disgrace they're buying their way in and we're not going to let
04:47it happen so steve if you will please yes so today the president signed these two executive orders here
04:53relating to birthright citizenship and birth tourism as the president mentioned the 14th amendment was
05:00passed exclusively in the aftermath of the civil war so to ensure that the children of slaves of these
05:06citizens it had no other meaning and purpose outside of that and that's been clear obviously since the
05:11day that it was passed you can go back you could read the congressional debates this is not something
05:15that's even seriously contested by anybody the president is using his authority as commander-in-chief
05:22to sign first an executive order using the new ruling the supreme court issued to expand the
05:27definitions of people who are ineligible for birthright citizenship that includes for example alien
05:33enemies of the united states members of foreign terrorist organizations and large categories of people
05:38who lobby and act on behalf of foreign governments and so with taking this action it ensures that large
05:44numbers of people who wrongly would be getting birthright citizenship will no longer be eligible for
05:50those benefits the second action that he's taking which is especially historic is for the first time ever in
05:57american history to ban birth tourism so i want you to really let that sink in this has been something
06:04that people have talked about not only for years but for decades the idea that people come here pretend
06:10to be a tourist pretend to be a visitor saying they want to go to disneyland they want to go
06:15visit a
06:16monument or go to a national park but the real reason they're here is to have a child to make
06:22that
06:22child as an automatic citizen leave our country and then have a u.s citizen child it gives them access
06:28under this broken system to welfare benefits ultimately to the voting booth and all the other rights and
06:34privileges that belong solely to americans so that practice of birth tourism is as of the signing of
06:40this order hereby banned and what that means is that no one in the world is any more allowed to
06:48obtain
06:49a visa for this fraudulent purpose it is probably and president trump has done many historic things on
06:55immigration too many to list now sealed the southern border shut record deportations record integrity
07:01stopping foreign terrorist entry record reduction in drug seizures dismantling the criminal cartels
07:07dismantling the gangs right everything he's done that has been so unprecedented i will put this
07:12in the top three in terms of importance because it ends what has been one of the gravest and most
07:18egregious abuses of the american system and it keeps american citizenship sacred thank you okay
07:26mr president big stuff that's a big deal um thank you on the bird tourism executive order um what are
07:35the plans for enforcement in terms of cracking down on tourism hotels that's common in parts of california
07:40very big very big big crackdowns and this will give us the right to do it in a much more
07:47forceful manner
07:47but they've taken birthright citizenship and they've made a joke out of it and we're actually the only
07:53country of of size i think just about the only country period that does birthright citizenship i
08:00thought we were going to win it at the supreme court unfortunately we had a bad decision very
08:05unfair decision our country suffers because of it and we're ending in a different way
08:12president at the supreme court john sour the solicitor general did not have an answer as to how many
08:18individuals take advantage of birth tourism is there a number that you can say now hundreds of
08:24thousands okay hundreds of thousands you have uh one man came in with a family head said he had 56
08:33children another one came in they said they had 98 children this was not what it was for this was
08:39meant
08:39for the babies of slaves it was it was right after one week or two weeks after the civil war
08:45ended
08:45this wasn't for wealthy multi-millionaires billionaires coming in and bringing 15 20 30 children along with
08:55them it's become a big business and we're ending that business please what makes you confident mr
09:01president that this will pass constitutional i think it will i think in fact i asked a very talented
09:07person named will sharf who's standing right behind me and do you want to discuss that will you felt
09:13pretty sure yeah strongly about it the law is absolutely clear what we're talking about as
09:18steven said with respect to birth tourism something that used to happen incidentally where somebody
09:22who happened to be on vacation here went into labor early and had a baby this was sort of a
09:27you know
09:28a relatively small problem what we've seen in recent years though is uh organized rings at times criminal
09:34rings setting up a system whereby tens hundreds thousands tens of thousands of people can come to this
09:41country in an organized fashion and and give birth here purely for the the sake of obtaining birthright
09:47citizenship this order takes a number of different actions intended to combat those sorts of organized
09:52practices we look very heavily at denying visas to people that we have reason to believe are coming here for
10:00that purpose visas both for uh putative parents but also for the people organizing these rings uh there's also
10:07obviously a law enforcement component uh we'll have a full fact sheet released on this soon but what
10:11we're doing is taking uh legally validated means that are clearly within our disposal and targeting square
10:19on uh to this birth tourism industry uh there's absolutely nothing in here that runs afoul of any of
10:25the supreme court's opinions on the subject this is frankly it's action that's overdue and i'm thankful that
10:30president trump is finally taking decisive action to combat this this issue of birth tourism now that it's been
10:36queued up in the way that it has uh as a result of the supreme court's opinion this should have
10:41been
10:41done a long time ago this should have happened years ago but we're taking care of it now please
10:46can you help us understand how you distinguish between a tourist and a birth tourist well i'll let you
10:53discuss it please just happy to and so by the way that's an excellent presentation thank you steven
10:58yes for those of you who want to do your uh your research on this section 215 a of the
11:04immigration
11:04nationality act gives the president this authority 215a of the immigration nationality act very rarely
11:11used probably one of the strongest laws in the entire federal code gives him this power that's not
11:16the only but it's the main statutory authority that's being used in this order so birth tourism is by
11:22definition a fraud on the american system on the american taxpayer on the american visa if you're coming
11:29here and again your state of purpose is that you're a tourist then by definition you are here to come
11:34for a few weeks look what we have engage in commerce and leave so if you're telling a consular officer
11:40you're
11:40here as a tourist but your true purpose and intent is to go to a baby mill give birth and
11:47try to mint an
11:47american citizen while you're here then you're committing a fraud against the american government and by
11:52definition that visa can and should and will be now denied mr president there's a report that you told
11:59donors that they need to get jd vance elected in 2028 is that your official endorsement no no it's uh
12:06i heard about it a little while ago i think he's great but we're way too early to even be
12:11thinking about
12:12that okay and then mr president republicans are arguing a lot right now about affordability
12:18what is your message on affordability going into the midterm well that's a good question but it's
12:24sort of simple to answer i inherited the highest prices ever i inherited the worst inflation in the
12:30history of our country and we have done an amazing job and oil prices now are coming down very rapidly
12:38if
12:38you look at what's going on it's down to 75 when i started the very important excursion into the islamic
12:48republic of iran it was a very important excursion because they can't have a nuclear weapon otherwise
12:53the whole world would get blown up we're not going to let that happen not only us not only the
12:58middle
12:58east the whole world would have been it would have been catastrophic we had no choice and we had oil
13:04down to less than two in many places like iowa oil was down to gasoline was down at numbers that
13:11people
13:11hadn't seen in years one dollar and 85 one dollar and 95 cents or it passed to say i was
13:16in iowa
13:17at a stop and we had 195 another one 185 a gallon and we'll see those days pretty soon again
13:27based on
13:27everything i see as soon as the war ends and uh i think it's gonna end pretty soon i don't
13:34think they
13:34can go much longer yeah please hasn't you been reached to reopen the strait of harmony well i don't
13:40want to say it has been it's sort of open right now you know we have a thing called the
13:45blockade headed
13:45up by the u.s navy and we control it and uh now we control it but they can always
13:51shoot something they
13:52always have something or drop a mine and if you have one mine sitting out there you sort of mess
13:58things up because people don't want to take their billion dollar boats and accidentally get hit by
14:03a mine but uh i think we're doing very well i just you know i'm involved in the negotiation i
14:09think
14:09we're doing fine could be it could be soon yeah have you lobbied any of the undecided republicans who
14:15will vote tomorrow on todd blanche's nomination uh i will lobby if i need to i will lobby very very
14:23diligently because he's outstanding he should be good i mean i can't imagine he's as good as there
14:28is in the country he people have such unbelievable respect for todd blanche so hopefully that won't
14:35be necessary i would i spoke to some people i did uh but uh hopefully it'll work out very
14:42well for the country because you're not going to find better than todd blanche will you reach out to
14:46senator murkowski senator cassidy for instance let's see if we need anybody i'll reach out to whoever i have to
14:52but uh anybody voting against him would be doing a great disservice to the country please mr president
14:58the deadline for representative max miller to um withdraw from his race is coming up next week
15:05do you believe you should withdraw at this well i'm not going to get involved and that's a very sad
15:10situation and uh i know max very well but it's uh very very sad that a situation like that takes
15:19place
15:20yeah do you think the doj should prosecute dr fauci well you know they prosecuted peter navarro
15:27and they prosecuted steve bannon two very decent people over something that essentially was never
15:34prosecuted before and there are sort of telltale signs of similarity and they went to jail for a number
15:44of months over something that they i saw one of the analysts said they used to laugh at it in
15:49the
15:49justice department when something like that was referred but uh merritt garland prosecuted two very
15:57decent people and sent them to jail i wasn't president i would have given him a pardon in two seconds
16:04but i wasn't it was after i left they waited till after i left and then they prosecuted these two
16:09people
16:09and they ought to be ashamed of themselves so when you see that happen you sort of say maybe he
16:14should
16:14what he did is far more serious than a lot of crimes frankly but they prosecuted two people when
16:22nothing like that has ever taken place before mr president on munitions you uh posted overnight that
16:29the u.s has a massive amount that's right you denied that there were any shortages there is a supplemental
16:35request for 21 billion dollars to restock so uh why is that request still there well because we need
16:43more all the time and we need more look we gave tremendous amount to ukraine the biden people did
16:51and they were given free of charge no no charge no charge billions hundreds of billions of dollars and
16:59fortunately i built up so much during my term i rebuilt the military and also loaded it up with
17:05a lot of stuff we have certain types of munitions that are very powerful that we have unlimited virtual
17:12unlimited supply we have others where it's a little bit tighter and we're getting them in on a daily
17:19basis as you know our defense companies are building more plants right now than at any point in history
17:24they're building plans for the patriots for the tomahawks for everything but we have uh certain
17:30types of munitions which are very uh they may not be as accurate they may not be you know they're
17:35not as
17:36elite we have elite too but we're we're watching that very closely but we have certain types which are
17:44very powerful and very good and we have an unlimited supply and uh so we're in great shape but
17:52uh with that being said uh we always want more we have to have more we have other things maybe
17:58come
17:58up you maybe come up and maybe don't come up hopefully nothing else does come up but we're in
18:03very good shape we have literally massive amounts of ammunition yeah on ukraine president zelensky says
18:11his country desperately needs long-range missiles or those patriot missile batteries is that something
18:17they think we want missiles too you know we when biden gave him so much biden gave 300 billion dollars
18:24worth of ammunition you know when i left this it was full and he gave a lot of it away
18:30now we're
18:30rebuilding it and we're using munitions that are very powerful very good but we wouldn't have been
18:38using them we could have used something else but these are a little bit older type equally as effective
18:46uh and uh we it's things that we have so much plus we have supplies of uh munitions all over
18:52the
18:53world that if we ever needed them we'd take that we're supplied all over the world but uh we have
18:59we're in very very good shape russia seems to have increased their attacks on civilian areas
19:08look we're not involved from the standpoint it's uh we're separated by an ocean but i hate to see
19:1425 000 young people a month get killed and that's what's happening between russia and ukraine they're
19:21losing on average 25 000 mostly soldiers a month and you know we're working on it and i think we're
19:29making progress but it's a violent very violent war there's a lot of hatred in that war a lot of
19:34hatred
19:35between the two leaders i settled eight wars i thought this would be maybe one of the easier ones and
19:40it
19:40turned out to be the most difficult but progress is being made thank you very much everybody
19:45you
