00:00Yeah, it's been, I mean, it's tougher to move the ball in practice.
00:04He's, you know, Coach Patterson's one of one.
00:09I've told people I've had a chance, you know, throughout my career
00:12and calling plays for a little while now to call plays against a lot of the people
00:17that you would say, hey, these are maybe the greatest minds of this last era
00:21of college football, the greatest defensive minds.
00:24And I've never coached against somebody that I thought was more unique
00:29and tougher to go against than Gary Patterson.
00:31And, you know, him doing it with different skill sets.
00:35And a lot of times, especially the OU versus TCU years that we competed
00:39against one another, you know, we had a lot better players, you know,
00:43than he did top to bottom.
00:44They certainly had good players.
00:45I don't want to disrespect anybody there, but the talent level was different.
00:49And he just consistently year after year adapts and coaches
00:54and develops in such a unique way.
00:55And, you know, they don't put the College Football Hall of Famer, you know,
00:59behind your name for nothing.
01:01And so, yeah, I think we're certainly feeling his impact defensively.
01:06I'm certainly feeling his impact of just having a fellow head coach in the building, right,
01:10somebody else that has sat in his chair and had to make some of these decisions.
01:14And, you know, you just can't replace that type of expertise and experience, you know,
01:19that he brings to the table.
01:21So, he's incredibly motivated.
01:23He wouldn't have done this without it.
01:25And I think he senses the opportunity to, even for a guy that's accomplished
01:31just about everything you can in this game, there's a few other things left out there,
01:34and he knows that he can do that here.
01:36And so, it's been awesome working with him.
01:39I can't wait to get into the season with him and go.
01:41But he and our entire staff are, you know, I think bring a lot of advantages to our program.
