00:17the first half with Luke Chambers opening the scoring before Florian Burtz doubled the lead
00:24after a good pullback from Frimpong. However, Leeds United produced a stunning second half
00:32performance completing the comeback and the game ended 4-2.
00:38It was Brendan Aronson that sparked the fight back before Dominic Calvert-Lewin got on the score
00:45sheet. He scored two goals and they both came from long throw-ins as well. Sean Longstaff also
00:51got in on the act too. Daniel Farker will be very pleased with how Leeds United's pre-season
00:58going, a little less so for Andoni Areola. There have been some encouraging signs and it
01:03is a clean slate for Liverpool this season. Here's what some of the players had to say
01:08after that pre-season fixture.
01:11I think we did more well than in other games. Obviously in the first half we could press.
01:18When we lost the ball, we pressed immediately. That's what Gaffer wants. I think the first
01:22half went well. Maybe a bit more players need to adapt to the style. Also that came a bit
01:31later. Obviously some of the guys were a bit tired playing more minutes. But I think it was
01:39overall was alright. I mean, I'm playing much different. I think that's visible, obviously.
01:46And yeah, he's using me how I prefer to play more, I would say. So yeah, just continue to improve,
01:55get the condition, get legs going and hopefully it will be good for me, especially for the whole
02:00team. We need everyone to be on point.
02:02A few guys asked me how he is, like obviously also outside of the pitch and what he likes.
02:08So I gave a few guys heads up, you know, in front. But he explains pretty well to all
02:14of us what he wants. And I mean, you could see the first half a lot. Second half he dropped
02:20and yeah, congrats to the Leeds.
02:23What he's trying to imply to the team, I think I've got attributes to do what he wants
02:27with energy and runs and grind. So yeah, just see what happens.
02:31I spoke to Ian Rush again the other day about you. And in terms of your best position, where
02:34do you see that? Because obviously you've played out on the left, you can also play through
02:37the middle. Do you think you've got a preferred position and preferred role?
02:41I think I can play off the left, off the right, in the ten or as a striker. I think
02:47that's
02:47one of my attributes and why I played under so many managers out on loan as well. But I think,
02:52personally, I'm best off the left or as a nine. As a nine, I can run both sides, make more
02:57runs in behind and press more. So that's where I'm best.
