Police raid South Korea's football association office on Aug. 6, 2026 as part of an investigation into the appointment of Hong Myung-bo as coach in charge during the team's dismal World Cup campaign. The 'search and seizure operations' were over allegations of 'obstruction of business' in Hong's recruitment, a police spokesman told AFP.
