00:09Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department Director Hussein Omar Khan said investigators
00:14and intelligence officers will be in the Indonesian capital from August 11-15 to complete the
00:20probe.
00:20According to Burnama, the team will trace the pilot's drug supply, identify the syndicate
00:25involved and determine how the suspect passed the security screening at KLIA.
00:29Investigators will also examine the pilot's links to the Indonesian syndicate and identify
00:34the full distribution chain including other parties that may be involved.
00:37Malaysia will not seek the pilot's extradition as the 39-year-old must face legal proceedings
00:42in Indonesia.
00:44The pilot was detained at Jakarta's Sokarno Hata International Airport after allegedly trying
00:48to smuggle 25 kilograms of drugs worth about 45 million ringgit.
00:52Police have recorded statements from two KLIA aviation security officers but found no direct
00:57connection between them and the suspect.
01:00Bukit Aman is also investigating whether the case is linked to the arrest of another Malaysian
01:04student at Surabaya's Juwanda International Airport.
