00:06We're all subscribing to more services than ever and we're all paying more than ever too.
00:11Nearly 30% of respondents said they subscribe to seven or more streaming services.

00:17At that point, you've basically recreated cable just with more passwords.
00:21Those subscriptions really add up.
00:24More than a third of the people we surveyed said they spend more than $60 a month on streaming.
00:28That's more than $700 a year just so you can watch TV.
00:33So, which services are people actually paying for?
00:36You might think it's Netflix but Prime Video was the most popular subscription among our readers at 80%.
00:41Makes sense because probably most of them get it with Amazon Prime.
00:44Netflix was a close second followed by Paramount Plus and Hulu.
00:48Here's where things get really interesting.
00:51We asked which streaming service they would never cancel and Netflix won by a mile with 39% of the
00:57votes.
00:58Prime Video was a distant second at around 29% and no other streaming service even reached 10%.
01:04That tells me that while people are happy to subscribe to a bunch of streaming services,
01:09when it's time to cut costs, there are really only one or two that they truly can't live without.
01:14Another trend that's impossible to ignore, free streaming is huge.
01:18More than half of respondents say they use YouTube, a 49% watch Tubi, and roughly a third use Pluto
01:25TV or the Roku channel.
01:27So, while streaming costs are rising, our readers are balancing things out by mixing paid services with free ones,
01:33even if they have to suffer through ads.
01:36Streaming isn't going anywhere, but the days of subscribing to everything all at once might be over.
