The heartwarming footage, filmed by Mother Hernandez at a relative's house in Valencia, Venezuela, shows the emotional family reunion during what she believed was an ordinary barbecue.

Unaware her brother had returned after living abroad, she walks into the gathering before spotting him waiting inside.

The pair immediately rush into each other's arms and share a long emotional embrace as relatives watch the touching moment unfold.

The emotional footage was shared online. Hernandez said: "I was invited to a barbecue at a relative's house without knowing that my brother would be there. I hadn't seen him for 8 years since he migrated from the country."
