00:14After winning the championship title, the Sky Blues are back among the big time.
00:20They are in the top flight of English football back in the Premier League.
00:24The journey has taken them from League Two back to the top flight in less than a decade.
00:29Promotion has reignited the fire around the Coventry City squad
00:35and the fans can now dream once again of Premier League football.
00:38They'll be able to witness it this season and now the challenge is ensuring
00:42that Coventry can stay in the Premier League more than one season.
00:48Coventry have already shown ambition in the transfer market,
00:52strengthening key areas of the squad while looking to retain the core of that squad
00:58that delivered promotion, Lampard's tactical approach and the club's togetherness will be vital.
01:04But how is the manager feeling about being back in the Premier League with Coventry next season?
01:11Which is bigger than all of us and I think it can never be more clear than that
01:15when you see the fans at the end of the game.
01:17The club has suffered for 25 years in terms of since we've been in the Premier League
01:21and that journey going down to League Two and different football clubs, stadiums.
01:27Credit to everyone involved in those tough years.
01:29Mark Robbins, of course, I think he has to have a shout out.
01:33But it's a massive, massive achievement from everyone involved
01:38and it's really special.
01:40I'm lost for words.
01:41I wanted to do it away from home a little bit.
01:43I wanted promotion away.
01:43I know what it's like to do it this way.
01:45It's the fans that come all the time away from home.
01:48They're really dedicated fans and they're having the night of their lives.
01:50That's what we do this job for.
01:52It means a huge amount for that, I have to say.
01:56A lot is said about managers.
01:57A lot is said about ex-players that are managers.
01:59I think ex-players that have had stellar careers get critiqued more than others.
02:02I just think it's a cultural thing.
02:04I'm not going to make a big deal out of it now.
02:06But I also know that I and we, those managers, work really, really hard
02:09and in different contexts and different situations,
02:11it's really hard to be successful and in the modern day,
02:14if you're not successful for any small period, you might lose your job.
02:18But my feeling has never been to be a pundit for too long, with all due respect.
02:23I enjoyed it when I first did it, but once I started tasting management,
02:26it's my real love and coming to a place like Coventry is a good thing
02:32because it shows you that it can be just enjoyable working at Coventry
02:35as it can be working at any other football club and Premier League and all these things.
02:38We're all ambitious.
02:39We want to get there and work at the top and win the Champions League
02:41or manage your country, all those things.
02:43But when you have success at a club like this, tonight's shown that it doesn't matter.
02:46It doesn't matter, these huge football clubs and in the Championship, I've loved this year.
02:50So I'm pleased I took on the challenge and I'm pleased we've got where we are.
02:54And yeah, I'm very happy.
