02:57tonight we are talking wwe netflix raw after summer slam a lot to get to we kick off the show

03:05with roman

03:06reigns coming out cutting a promo showing a lot of respect to seth rollins certainly because of where they were

03:11at

03:12tonight absolutely love this entire segment then we get la night to come out and of course we've all

03:18been anticipating an la night thing happening very soon and now we're actually we're actually going to

03:23see this thing kick off now the problem is is i don't think he beats roman and i really want

03:28to see

03:28la night get that wwe championship at some point of some kind um i don't think it's going to happen

03:33right now i really don't i wish they'd push him off a little longer really annoy him i don't care

03:39who it is

03:40he gets somebody else in there to be a competitor for a little while and just keep pushing him off

03:44pushing him off and give him the championship somewhere else um i don't think he's going to do

03:48it right now but we're going to get to see the match because after the back and forth the barbs

03:52you know calling each other's imposters fakes whatever um um frauds i think that was the term used

03:59was frauds um both guys making good points i'm just be honest they were um i didn't love the making

04:05fun of la night for wearing walmart watches and things like that because you know you got people

04:10in the crowd that are probably doing the exact same thing that might be offended by that and you're

04:14supposed to be a good guy but um roman reigns and la night going back and forth roman not wanting

04:19to

04:19give him a match but then leaving the ring him talking more trash and him leaving roman in the ring

04:24i thought it was really good i really did i thought it really sets the stage for what could be

04:30phenomenal especially because la night's great on the mic and roman's getting much much better

04:34so hopefully whoever choreographs or skits out whatever they're going to say really takes the

04:39time to make this meaningful because i think this could be a really cool feud going forward

04:44from there we get javon evans versus ethan page i feel like this is the 300th time we've seen this

04:50match as well this time again javon evans does this you know he leaps over the referee the referee

04:55gets to the corner hits the og cutter off the top turnbuckle looked awesome ethan page kind of

05:01dropped to the knees a little funky but it was fine it is what it is he wins again and

05:07i feel

05:07like it's a broken record every week it's either he and ethan page or he and rusev or whatever i

05:13want

05:14them to move past that so maybe that's what they're doing now because we saw the return of big cas

05:19who

05:20attacks javon evans lays him out it almost looked like he was giving him a bear hug for a little

05:25while

05:25before he hit him with his finisher you know it was fine i'm fine with big cas being a monster

05:30heel

05:30i really am but i'm a little frustrated because we were all kind of excited if you if you're if

05:35you

05:35were over if they were over before enzo and cast were huge in the past and people who really loved

05:40their their their presentation before really hoping to see them back together i don't know how you

05:45factor enzo into this if he's even coming back still maybe they turned a page on him maybe they

05:50decided not to sign him i don't know but i really would have liked to have seen them both

05:54but instead all we got was big cas but he comes out he lays out javon what an interesting feud

06:00to

06:00start him with because i don't really want to see javon take any losses but i don't want to see

06:03big

06:04cas either since he just got back we'll have to wait and see how that plays out then we get

06:07roman in

06:08the back he's talking to the rest of the bloodline you know basically giving him attitude about how they

06:13didn't pick up a win they have to get wins that's what the family needs um at one point he

06:18really goes

06:19into jacob about this you know family comments about royce keys uh he compares he questions about

06:26who really is his family basically talking about how royce keys is not in his family um and making

06:32it clear he wants him to handle that business but then he wants everybody to leave ellie and i alone

06:36because he's going to handle him which tells me we actually might get this match right away which

06:41again i don't think is a good idea in terms of ellie and i having a shot at the title

06:45but

06:45you know still make for a great feud so i guess that's what we have to look forward to

06:49and obviously jacob and the usos have their own issue la knight walks by and kind of punks him

06:54out a little bit because they're not allowed to touch him uh but i i'm curious to see where this

06:59goes in the coming weeks from there live morgan cutting a promo talking trash greatest women's world

07:05champion of all time and we end up getting soul ruka and roxanne to come out to have their match

07:13again this is like a weekly thing three on one soul ruka had no chance to win the match

07:19you already knew there was going to be some kind of interference i guess technically she won the

07:23match by disqualification because the referee caught live morgan trying to stop her from hitting the soul

07:28snatcher but again it's trash it's more outside interference it's lazy booking i was not happy with

07:34this i was more excited about the after the match stuff where becky lynch's music hit the fans were

07:40way into becky and she came out and i love how roxanne or i apologize raquel rodriguez acted like

07:47she was coming for the intercontinental title she goes you think i'm here for you i mean i already i

07:51got done making that title famous i'm here for you sweet cheeks and she points to live i'm okay for

07:57that feud i want to see that feud i think it's going to be a fantastic feud but then we

08:01get as they leave

08:02the ring we get the return of stephanie vaquer who basically beats up half a judgment day two-thirds

08:09of judgment day and then chases live back into the ring beats up on live a little bit until she

08:13finally retreats and then we get a face-off with stephanie vaquer and uh becky lynch which again i'm

08:19fine with that match too but like who is challenging live i don't want to complicate it we need both

08:25of

08:25these women to challenge in separate feuds spread this out um i'd much rather see the becky lynch thing

08:32actually because we've already seen the vaquer feud but i guess if you got to wrap up the vaquer stuff

08:36you

08:37have him face her first and then get to becky lynch but either way hopefully they do something

08:42better than they'd had the previous several months with that championship and make it relevant again

08:45from there backstage paul hayman standing around oba femi walks up mad respect for brock tells paul

08:52to tell him thank you when he sees him paul hayman giving oba a ton of respect i really loved

08:58everything

08:58about this i don't know if this is a face turn for paul hayman if he's going to take oba

09:04on as a client

09:05or what this is going to mean but i really enjoyed all of that backstage stuff then oba goes to

09:11the

09:11ring cuts a huge promo he's going to lead a new generation of superstars that he really puts over

09:16brock all over again i love that and then he talks about how anybody in the old guard that has

09:21a

09:21problem with it he's going to have to you know answer to him he's the ruler you know and uh

09:26i thought

09:26it was interesting in the graphics they kept referring to him as the king of the ring which he hasn't

09:30used

09:30that championship match and it sounds like they might let him cash that in almost like money in the

09:33bank at some point at least that's the impression i'm getting for some of the commentary i've been

09:37hearing um so he's cutting his promo when he's done he's leaving the ring they show him walking

09:42to the back which is not characteristic of a normal raw but then we see why they cue the vision's

09:47music

09:47and as the vision walk out bron breaker decides to get in oba's face not once but twice it's obvious

09:53that they listened we've been predicting it on this show they they sampled this in europe when they

09:59were doing the overseas tour in a house show dark match uh between seth rollins and oba taking on

10:05the vision and the fans went nuts for it there i think this would be phenomenal i'd love to see

10:10this

10:10um as they do their little face off we end up going to the ring it's supposed to be you

10:16know

10:16bron breaker versus joe hendry and this match goes very little time i i love that joe hendry beats up

10:22uh austin theory outside the ring throw him over the announce table and all that stuff just to come

10:27into the ring gets speared and pinned in short order by bron breaker i hate that they're like

10:31burying joe hendry so much but he's lost all his mystique there is no saying his name anymore and

10:36he appears or any of that stuff so i don't know maybe figure something out because you lost all

10:41the interest that we had in him and that that dan housing segment a couple weeks ago didn't help

10:45anything no dan housing tonight though i thought that was kind of strange um good thing by the way so

10:51we don't overexpose him too much but yeah bron over joe hendry then we get chad gable coming out

10:57thanking the fans thanking um penta penta comes out congratulates him calls him a true luchador and

11:04all that and the two of them get interrupted by don mysterio and jd mcdonough because there's going

11:08to be a tag team match between the four of them and of course um penta and uh chad gable

11:15end up

11:15winning the match very solid match i love the the fact that don mysterio tries to hide the the hammer

11:21the ring to keep the ring uh the bell keepers hammer in his boot again chad gable catches it

11:27pulls it out shows the ref turns it in and then penta waffles dom with the belt which enables chad

11:33to get the win i thought that was hilarious um so they pick up the win another solid match i

11:38actually

11:38enjoyed it i really did i thought it was a good match from there we go to the back another

11:42backstage

11:42segment this time um paul hayman and bron breaker who haven't interacted a lot lately on tv and bron

11:50telling paul hayman that he wanted to know where brock where oba femi was because of oba femi getting

11:55in his face earlier and he wants to handle that business and then paul hayman asking him like how

12:00would i know where he is he goes well i figured you were his his new special friend you know

12:05implying

12:05that there's already an elite alliance there between him and oba um i would much rather have based on the

12:11fact that if you watch the match and i kind of i breezed over this when bron is facing henry

12:16at

12:16the end of the match once he wins he just leaves the ring he leaves austin theory behind he doesn't

12:20even walk to the back with him theory's out at ringside he ends up jumping into the ring and

12:24attacking joe henry more until akira tozawa saves him and tozawa looks looks solid in this so now having

12:31bron go back to hayman i thought maybe we get a thing where bron wants hayman and and keeps him

12:36as his

12:36manager or something and then this happens and now i don't know what to think so we'll have to wait

12:40and

12:40see how this plays out from their main event time jacob fatu royce keys in a street fight um they

12:48had

12:48a vignette or a backstage segment earlier where they were you know royce keys was trying to rectify

12:52everything and jacob decided he wanted to have this street fight it was a good match it really was it

12:57went a decent amount of time especially for a televised match um lots of you know tables and

13:02weapons and things um but then the end of the match sees royce keys get put through a table

13:08the uh the the the moonsault into the tongue and death grip jacob wins the match because he passes

13:15out goes back and starts giving him the tongue and death grip again and then ends up you know

13:21splashing put him in a corner putting a chair on his head and everybody runs out to try to stop

13:26it

13:26and he runs he acts like he's leaving comes back in the ring and splashes royce keys with his head

13:31in

13:31the chair he's bleeding from the mouth really profusely and then we see roman reigns's music hit he comes to

13:37the top of the ramp and puts the one up in the air and shakes his head in agreement that

13:41uh he's proud

13:42of jacob for doing this and all that i thought was going to be end of the show but then

13:46we got what

13:47is absolutely the craziest part of the night for me roman goes back into the back and he's stopped

13:52by ray mysterio of all people who shakes his hand and i was like wow they're going to do a

13:58ray roman

13:59match and that's not what we got instead we got ray saying you know that i'm the uh general manager

14:05of triple a and he says well i'm i know now and he goes he basically wants to talk to

14:11him a proposition

14:12he has for him now as we know triple mania is coming up in september two-night event are they

14:19going

14:19to involve the wwe world heavyweight champion roman reigns in that show to get ticket sales to pop the

14:26rating or whatever very possibly um well is it being used as counter programming for aew very easily

14:34so i'm excited to see what they do with this i was not expecting it wasn't advertised for the show

14:40should be very interesting um and i just never thought i would see a ray mysterio roman reigns

14:45any kind of interaction much less this certainly not this late in ray's career so we'll have to wait

14:50and see how things play out that's all the time we have for this episode check back with us next
