00:03Westinghouse Electric has confidentially filed a draft registration statement
00:07with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering,
00:11according to the Wall Street Journal. The nuclear technology and services supplier
00:16said the number of shares to be offered and the expected price range have not yet been determined,
00:21and the IPO remains subject to market conditions. Westinghouse is jointly owned by Brookfield
00:27Asset Management and Cameco, which acquired the company in late 2023 in a deal valued at about
00:33$8 billion. Last year, the owners signed an agreement with the Commerce Department,
00:38under which the U.S. government will arrange financing and facilitate approvals for at least
00:43$80 billion in nuclear reactors powered by Westinghouse Technology.
